Fingers crossed! I’ve tried 0.75u for 4 cycles and it wasn’t enough to crush her ketones (gone up to 1.0 and kept vomiting) She’s doing well so far after the increase. I’ll keep an eye on her bg and watch out for hypos

Multiple ketone strips showed up as error when I inserted them into the meter prior to testing :/ will try later

I might have given a furshot at AMPS seeing how her ketones have increased.. she has thick medium long hair I couldn’t really tell if the needle actually went through. I tested with shorter needles before the shot (poor bb ;_; ) they were in her fur few times. The shorter needles are definitely better imo I can feel it when it penetrates the skin. She wiggles a lot when getting the shot (I usually have to do gymnastics in order to give insulin lol) but this time I sat her on my lap so I know for sure it goes right into her skin

I’ll post updates in few hours : )

Well no, I’d have known that the insulin didn’t get in if it was. I usually lift her fur a bit when I give injection so even if I gave a furshot in the past the liquid probably hid under the fur. I’m going to be extra cautious so it doesn’t happen again
