Yes but I know it is only because of the mirtz. I weighed him last night and if the new baby scales are as accurate as the vet's scales (I have no way of knowing), he has lost about 1-1/2 #'s in a month. I have removed all supplements except the B12 and am going to start adding the B-Complex this weekend but hold off on all other supplements/oils (for now).

I hadn't realized how bad his eating had gotten - just thought his appy had diminished due to better numbers - I don't think that is the case. I did get the new RX's from diamondback last night so at least I now have the nausea meds and the new appy enhancer.

I gave him MMR this morning and a small dose of pain meds (forgot and gave it to him at shot time - so not sure how effective it will be since he had just gotten the MMR).

IDK - it seems the appy got worse after the initial day (??). For now I am just backing off everything. He also got a food change this morning. BG #'s be damned. If he won't eat it really doesn't matter what is numbers are. :banghead: He got the fowl ball mixed with the organix. He still won't be getting enough calories unless he starts eating more. I just don't know how to get more food into him - none of the low carb/low phos foods have a very high calorie count. I will be trying the I and Love and You this weekend (I bought a case from Amazon).

Bronx really likes the I Love & Love You Wholly Cow. hopefully Gizmo does too. When he sticks his nose up at certain foods, I sprinkle some of the FoodFurLife EZcomplete and that gets him back to the dish. It is actually made to add to home-made raw food, but it has a chicken flavor that Bronx loves.

It was/is more than that. I was using everything in my arsenal. It was every meal/snack. It is the strangest thing - once I got him eating he would sit there and finish the entire meal/snack. It was convincing him that he actually wanted it.

History:
AMPS=178, +2=152

Is it ok to give Ondansteron (for nausea) with Mirtazapine. The Mirtz was given yesterday @ 10:00am. RX for Mirtz says every 3 days.
 
Mirtz in cats generally doesn't last more than 9 hours, according to the latest research presented in this years ACVIM conference. Transdermal mirtazapine lasts longer than oral. There shouldn't be a problem giving ondansetron now.

ETA - definitely still is having an impact. He acts like he hasn't eaten in weeks. Lol. Only other side effect is he is much more vocal, social and loving. I have read that some have had adverse side effects from it so haven't used it but a couple of times and is why I got the rx for Cyproheptadine (which I haven't ever given to him).

+3.5=76. Gave a tablespoon of LC. I don't want him to go much lower. I don't want a reduction and I don't want to give MC/HC on his tummy.

And he was starving. Lol. He sat and stared at his feeder for 45 min. :cat:
