07/28 Furball, AMPS=249, PMPS=286, Curve Results

A nice yellow AMPS for Furball. I am planning to get the curve done today. She hasn't jumped up a lot for +2. When I have done curves in the past she usually came down some for +2. However, I am now leaving plates out instead of picking them up after breakfast. Maybe that is changing when she drops. It will be interesting to see where she goes from here.

Morning Carla! Good luck with the curve today. it could be on the food, affecting that +2. Mannie always does this - I will get a higher +2 than his PS number, as he is feed during this time. It will be interesting to see how she does today. :-D

Curve update:

+2=273
+4=259
+5=266

I got a +5 reading because that is where Furball's nadir has been in the past. I will get more tests this afternoon. It will be interesting to see the results. I am really thinking me changing the way I feed her and the other cats is affecting her results. I used to feed them after AMPS and take the plates away. I have found that leaving the plates and letting them scrounge works better and they all seem healthier. By the afternoon, the food is usually gone, so I am expecting lower numbers. If one of my other cats wasn't such a food hog, I'd try timed feeders. But I think he would get all the food.

The numbers I got were not what I expected. Furball was pretty flat all day. I guess changing her food didn't really make a difference on her numbers.

Pretty flat yellow, Carla. It looks like a bounce......and we often say flat yellow is followed by an active cycle.....
