J.D. started the evening by eating a little over 1/8 can of FF and during the evening and night got 45ml of syringed food.

He has had 30ml of syringed MaxCal this morning so far, and ate a couple bites of some FF Chunky Chicken and a couple bites of MC FF Medleys, and we went out for 3 walks. He had a small hardish poo.

OT: I do not know why humans do not train their dogs. Every dog I have ever lived with has been trained.
We were out in the middle of the large lawn. J.D. was with me and Ginger had galloped to a tree near the walkway. A new neighbor came out of her condo with a yellow labish dog. This dog was pulling on the leash toward J.D. and I. The woman said can we come say hi? The dog didn't look all that friendly towards cats.. I said "watch out, he (J.D.) is 20" and pointing to Ginger "and she attacks dogs.". She says oh is that a cat? looking at J.D. as she is walking closer. No, lady, he's a large Boston Terrier with pointed ears! When they are about 8 feet away the dog twists and gets out of it's collar. I say sternly get that dog away from me as I am leaning over J.D. to protect him. The lady is struggling to get the collar back on like she barely knows what she's doing. I am between the dog and J.D. and I put out my hand with some weird clawing action at the dogs nose and it shows it's teeth and growls and acts defensive (puts more weight on it's back end) at me like it's going to bite me. I am saying again and again "get that dog away from me" and am getting scared, so the dog would have sensed the fear. Then Ginger gets up and starts heading our way, with her fur all up. The lady finally gets the collar on the dog and gets it led away and I tell Ginger to stay there and she does, and I praise her for being a good girl. It was like she was going to protect us. I feel like making a complaint. If you're too stupid to know that dogs need training then at least get a collar that he can't get out of.

I'm grumpy, because I didn't get to sleep in this morning.

J.D. was walking around pretty well on the first two walks, and then was walking a little more weaker in the hind end and less balanced when we walked off the big lawn on that third walk. He also looked like his hind quarters were lower to the ground than his shoulders when he finally climbed all those stairs and we got home. He is now laying in his (dog) bed, and maybe I'll try to catch some shut eye.

Dyana,

I have new neighbors that moved in next door to me in May. They have vicious dogs. They also bark at everything. These people prop the door open and let them run in and out. They also sit out in the yard with them barking at 6:30am in the morning. I have called the police on them numerous times and got into shouting matches with them, the last one this morning at 6:40am in the morning when they had them out barking right against my bedroom window. They told they me are moving, I said good take your F------ dogs and and go, thank god.
I do not understand some people with dogs that let them misbehave and think its their right to do so, I grew up with a dog and my mom and dad had dogs they were never misbehaved.
On another note I thank goodness J.D and Ginger and you are alright. I would make a complaint if I were you, what if it gets out of the leash next time and gets a hold of someones small child or does get ahold of J.D.

Dyana, I'm glad you J.D. and Ginger are okay. How scary. It does sound like Ginger was going to protect you. Good girl. There are some people that just shouldn't be allowed to have pets if they aren't going to take care of them properly. I hope you were able to get some sleep today.

How scary for you. I'm glad you and Ginger and J.D. are okay. That person did not sound very bright at all. She must have thought you had dogs and wanted hers to make friends!

I hope you got to go btb and the rest of your day is better.

Sending many healing and appy vines to J.D.

I love how Ginger was ready to protect you and J.D. :-D

Sending good appy and healthy poo vines to J.D.

I feel like I could sleep for two days.

Yesterday, I was imagining laying all day today in a hammock (which I don't have or have room for) and just sleeping and snoring the day away.

I never got to go back to sleep, because I found out our acupuncture vet appointment was an hour earlier than I thought, and I had to run to his regular vet to pick up some bupe and cerenia before going to that appointment. I was on the computer for a while, and J.D. got a total of I think 6 walks today. I just got up from about a 10 minute nap, and now it PMPS time.

J.D. ate okay for him lately, today. He ate a couple bite here and a few bites there and when I made a tunafish sandwich, I did an old favorite of my cats, and took some EVO kibble and squeezed the tuna water onto those with some extra tuna added. He ate some of that. At +10, he decided he was hungry and went to a food bowl with some left over uneaten food and didn't like what he smelled, so I added some left over MC to the top of the tuna EVO smorgeboard and he ate some of that, and then he walked away, and then he came back and ate some more, and then he walked away, and then he came back and ate some more.

Time to test and shoot and feed and medicine, and then time for a swim for me.

Good grief! That's horrible about that rude owner and the rude dog. No excuse for that. I'm glad all were ok and Ginger didn't have to pull out her claws. Eat yer fuds, J.D., sending some appy vines for you.
Liz

Oh my! Oh my! What a scary situation!! So glad that you all are ok, but I do love hearing that Ginger is such a protector! :-D You go girl! I'm really sorry that you didn't get much sleep. Maybe tonight? How did J.D.'s acupuncture appointment go today?
