Dusty has gained a pound. Jo reports he is drinking less water and is less ravenous. Diarrhea and excessive urination continue.
Ran a partial curve from pre-shot to +6:
AMPS ~ 391 (9:10) ; 1 unit (ish - her syringes mark 2 units)
+2 ~ 421 (11:24)
+4 ~ 534 (1:30)
+6 ~ HI (3:15) <- at this point, I knew 1 unit wasn't going to be high enough by a long shot and called it a day
Discovered she had been leaving the dry down all week. *sigh* This really explains why his glucose was high. And she had been giving him milk, which may explain some of the diarrhea, not just adding in the Fancy Feast to the diet. She has been giving some FortiFlora to help the diarrhea.
So, since old habits die hard, we went and got some of the Wellness Core Original dry food and I'm having her mix that into the crap dry gradually. We also picked up some Lactaid milk which may be less likely to cause diarrhea since the lactose has been broken down. And she's diabetic too, so it may be a bit better for her to use.
Because he is going to be eating dry food, albeit slightly better and he is through the roof glucose wise, I'm averaging the original vet prescribed dose of 3 units and the 1 unit she was giving and going with 2 units in the hopes that will do better for him.
