J.D. ate a little bit of FF Chunky Turkey this morning, and then doesn't want anymore. After waiting a bit, I syringed 10ml of MaxCal. He seems to eat a little at AMPS and PMPS (usually MC) and then that's it. I don't know if he eats when I'm at work. I may look into the Feline Assisted Feeding Group this weekend.

I did not give him any bupe yesterday. This morning, I am starting a round of 1/4 16mg Cerenia SID to see it that helps. I gave him 1/4 Cerenia and 1/4 Cypro. And, I'll just keep syringing throughout the day, if needed.

I think he needs a bath today before his acupuncture appointment. He is a little dirty with the little droplets of MaxCal that sprinkle through his fur, and I felt something gross along the underside of his tail this morning. It's just a nice cool morning right now, and J.D. is hanging out on the deck, so I'll wait for it to warm up a little.

I got two books yesterday: Four Paws Five Directions and Natural Healing for Dogs and Cats A-Z the first one was recommended by Dr. S the acupuncture vet and are both written by the same author. I hope to get some reading done this weekend to.

J.D. ate about 1/2 can of FF Cod, Sole, & Shrimp at +1.
I have been looking at the one can I have of that and saving it for when he absolutely won't eat, but I gave it to him this morning and he happily ate 1/3 can and I gave him a little more and he ate that. I just added that flavor to my grocery list, even though fishy foods aren't recommended more than once a week, I may need to feed it more often.

I joined the Feline Assisted Feeding Group, and am just reading their introductory emails now. I haven't posted yet.

J.D. is now sleeping in my bedroom after his nice meal.

I hope J.D. will continue to eat for you today. Those books sound interesting. I hope they will be helpful.

J.D. is still a little wet from his bath, but we have to go.

J.D. had a good session. The vet and the vet's assistant both kept saying that he seems happier, and they said that he seems stronger and more energynic sp? :) too. All I know is that he was really happy on the way home, and kept rubbing his face on the metal grate of his carrier door (he tends to do that when he is on the way home from somewhere :)).

He went pee in the grass as soon as I let him out of his carrier. He ate some food when we got home..not a lot, but some from one plate of 0% fishy FF Fish & Shrimp and some from another plate of left over MC FF Medleys that neither cat would touch earlier in the day.

I'm glad J.D. had a good session, is eating OK on his own, and that things are working well with the new acupuncture vetty. How sweet that he was lovey rubby dubby on the way home. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon, and keep eating, J.D. !!

Sending eating vines to J.D. to eat tonight as well as he ate today.
He ate a variety of foods today.

I'm off to take a swim. I hope the pool is still open this time, when I get there.

It does sound like the acupuncture may be helping. I'm glad he's eating a little better. If fishy food is all he'll really eat well, then I think that's what you should feed him. Getting the calories into him is the most important thing.

At PMPS he ate 2 small bites of LC FF Chunky Turkey and a couple licks of MC FF Medleys.
At +1.5 he ate about 1/2 can of MC FF Medleys. At +2.5 he ate a couple bites of MC.

I have chicken livers boiling. I just gave him some ondansetron. I hope he surfs and eats if he needs to.
 
More eating vines for JD. I think you should play the numbers 1, 3 and 5 in the lottery today. ;-) Nice cycle tonight JD.

The books do look interesting. I'm now a fan of acupuncture/acupressure.
 
I love his fuds variety today. Sending mega HUGE eating vines for that sweet boy!!!!! Come on, J.D., fuds are good. I just don't understand why our cats can't be more like me...I feel like I'm constantly eating (and of course, gaining weight in the process.) Maybe I need to be more like our cats...see fuds, sniff them, walk away...lose weight! :shock: :lol: Ok, maybe not. I'm hungry! Best wishes, Dyana. Thinking of you guys.
