07/17 Cooper AMPS 516 +1 418 PMPS 356 +1 338 +2.5 254 +3.5 269

Good morning Gabrielle.
I'm no expert by any means, but the same thing happened to Mikan a while back.
It could be the famous New Dose Wonkiness - with the dose increase, a paradoxical BG rise shows up. If it is NDW, it should calm down in a few cycles.
I know how discouraging it is to see the rise like this, but hang in there. Cooper's body will come down. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Ah, okay, I see! I was like what am I doing wrong?? Lol thank you for assuaging my anxiety. Hopefully that is the case and his numbers will calm down soon enough!

By the way, your cat is beautiful! Long fur and that light coloring is so pretty! :cat:

It is possible he dropped into blue last night after the +3. He wouldn't be used to blue BGs any more so that would be a reason for him to bounce. If you see a big drop in numbers when you get the +2 or +3 at night, I would get up and test a few hours later to see how far he has dropped. Getting a test in later at night, or early morning could possibly explain a few things.
Don't be discouraged.

So I actually am in the process of moving his test time an hour earlier (used to be 6am/6pm, but now I'm going to 5am/5pm) so that I can get more tests at night since my data for the PM cycles is severely lacking. I wonder why it's so different at night?

I bet you are correct though. Is a big drop considered like 100 points or more? I will see what he is at at +2 and +3 tonight and go from there.

Cats often drop lower at night for whatever reason. That is a good idea to move the times back so you can get some more tests in in the evening. It also means you can get a test in before you leave for work.
