Good morning. What does it mean that you put the sensor on yourself?
Sorry about the recliner! I hope you had a waterproof pad on that thing. :(

Hi, Suzanne,
I joined a Facebook group of fur parents who put the Libre sensors on themselves and learned what all to get and how to do it. So far it's been great because I save her the stress of a vet visit, and tbh I think I do a much better job than them of putting it on lol.
Unfortunately no protection on the recliner. :( I immediately sprayed it with some Rocco pet cleaning stuff so hopefully it's saveable. Not sure if she did it because of getting the sensor put on and she did not want to be fussed with, or because I was rearranging some furniture while cleaning the house yesterday. Cats don't usually like change, so guessing whatever the case, this was her revenge, lol.
 
Omg she actually ran up to me just now when I opened her a serving of Fancy Feast pate tender beef entree. Maybe I finally found a wet food she actually likes?! :joyful:
 
Just checked her now because her sensor was reading her as 231 and I know it tends to read her higher, and lo and behold, we got a blue number! So close to 150. If she can get there and not drop a whole lot further, I'd personally feel pretty happy with that and call this her dose.

I don't know, guys. I just checked her and she's 181. I think I'm starting to turn more concerned about these numbers in the 100s the closer I get to leaving her to go to work. Even being at home now, I feel like I have to keep checking her, which I won't be able to do at work tomorrow. I hate to say it but I almost can kind of see why a lot of vets leave them in the 200s. Anything less than that is nerve racking. :nailbiting:

Oh, I get it. You put the sensor on your CAT by yourself! I thought the notes in the spreadsheet meant that you applied the sensor to YOURSELF... in other words, to monitor your own blood glucose. Silly me! I thought maybe you thought it was malfunctioning or something. Yes, I do think it's a better option to put it on your own cat instead of going to the vet.
 
Well in case there was any confusion about this, I was the one who peed on the recliner. Just kidding lolol. Yeah, I didnt really word stuff well in my spreadsheet.:oops::smuggrin:
