She came up onto the table on her own again this a.m. :-D WTG, miss Blackie!!! I love it when she helps me out that way so that I don't have to bend down to pick her up. Momma Bean's not getting any younger, ya know. :lol: At least a purr is in order. Clean bowl club, preening, haven't seen her do LB yet. Going to be another hot day agin today. :YMSIGH: We'll be in the triples again.

Didn't see the speedbump this morning. I "THINK" we thwarted it's return by blocking a couple of entrances. It's too big to fit through part of the fencing, and DH doesn't think that it can squat low enough to go under a part of the fencing. I need to tie it off at the bottom with some wire as a small animal CAN make it under. Perhaps that's a weekend project before it gets too hot.

The hummers are getting their feeding in before it gets too hot. All the others have been fed. DH is waiting to head out to the doctor's this morning due to a cold that seems to be coming back on him. Personally, I think he has bronchitis, but he's to stubborn to go see the doctor when he really needed to. Better late than never, I guess.

Way to go Blackie! What a good girl she is. Nice numbers this morning too!

Hot here again as well. We've been in triple digits for so long and the 10 day forecast last night said every day for the next 10 days as well. Blah! You really have to get out there early to beat the heat huh? My garden, or what is left of it, will get my early morning attention this weekend. Most of it has burned up.

Hope your DH makes it to the DR and figures out what is going on. There is a lot of that going around here.

Good news on the speed bump. They really are pretty dumb animals. we had one, I read up on them and it said they always take the same path. They said to just block their path and they will change directions or put a trap in their path. We just trapped it and took it far away to a nice farm. :lol:

He's probably filling out the paperwork now. I'm not sure what the doctor will prescribe, but it's about high time that he went. I dialed the # yesterday, and made HIM make his own appointment. :lol: Granted, I am his wife, but not his babysitter for crying out loud (although, there are times... :lol: ). He needs to take responsibility for himself on occasion. I can't do everything for him. Sheesh. LOL

And I've been laughing at your adventures with the speed bump. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out what you were talking about the other day (I was on vacation and missed the beginning.) But I got it. Hahaha! Also I'm giggling at how careful everyone is to not offend anyone. But those rascals are downright destructive. My mother & dad had a problem on their acreage years ago and ... lets just say my mother is a strong willed person with good aim. :shock:

Hope you DH feels better soon. And that the bumps in the road get all smoothed away. :lol:

Thank you, Tena. I'm also watching her weight, too. With the extra 0.20 oz./day, I don't want her overweight, either. If she goes up to 13 lbs., I may need to scale back 0.10 oz.

What a lovely day for Blackie!! Oh we all have to watch those waistlines as we age, don't we? I wish I had someone to control my food intake :lol: :lol:

Oh I remember those bloody triple digit Texas summers with all that humidity!!! 1980....over 42 days over 100 degrees ...it was horrible. Hope it breaks soon.

I also forgot to tell you that I did my master's thesis on gophers :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

eta: sending healing vines to your DH. Hope it is NOT bronchitis but just a little summer cold.

Blackie, you are lookin' good this evening. Not too low, now!
I can't believe your weather down there! If we have a day in the 80s we call that HOT!! (But of course we can hit 30 below Zero in the winter). Anyway, I hope you will get a break in the weather soon. What did people in Texas do before air conditioning?
Healing vines to your DH. (My DH does the same thing: never goes to the doctor until whatever it is becomes much worse; but I do the same thing, so I can't say anything!)
