J.D. got his shot on time today, and then he slept with me when we went btb. He did not like the BG 96% Tuna with Cosequin this morning, and so raided Ginger's breffis instead. She sees him coming or looking at her bowl, and takes big hunks of food out of her bowl to eat off to the side.

We were outside for awhile this (late) morning, and I was watching this little house finch feeding this big baby. At first, with my not so wonderful eyesight, I thought wow babies look bigger than the parents because they're feathers are all ruffled up when they're begging for food. But upon closer inspection, the baby is another type of bird. Probably 4 times the size of the little finch that was feeding it. I thought the baby could crunch the mother if he sat on her. I couldn't tell what he was. Not a dove or a robin, bigger than a sparrow, not a blackbird or crow because his beak wasn't that long and he was kind of all gray. I wonder if his real mother deposited her egg in the finches nest and the finch just raised him, or if the finch found him on the ground begging for food and her motherly instincts just made her adopt him.

When we came back in the house, J.D. finally ate his leftover breffis with the Cosequin in it.
He is now resting on the couch.

I hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday.

That's it exactly. You are so smart :-D Only it was a little finch feeding the big baby.
I wonder if she's proud of her big baby.
