07/10 Eddie AMPS 358 +3 292 +6 182 PMPS 409 +3 349 (really?!)

Well, it's been quite the day (or rather few days). Eddie's dose increase and big bounce only part of the story. His brother, Blue, who also had same treatments as has Eddie for acromegaly (only his since 2017) and who went into remission about 16 months ago, suddenly went off his food and I couldn't get his medication into him either. So, I took him to Emerg this morning and he's dehydrated (they've put him on fluids) and are doing blood work. I just spoke with the vet who said it was really good I brought him in because like Eddie, he's an older kitty and dehydration is no friend to the kidneys. I checked his BG last night and it was slightly elevated at 147 but I'm thinking that went along with the stress of not eating and not getting his medication.

So, now Blue is in hospital overnight receiving care and under the orders of the IM vet with whom we had an appointment tomorrow anyway to check him for his lack of appetite and diarrhea.

I feel relieved he's being cared for and hopeful since we got it early, whatever it is.

Never, never, never a dull moment with acrokitties.

So sorry to hear about Blue. :bighug::bighug::bighug: I hope the hydration does the job.

Nice to see Eddie coming down from that bounce. But in a slow drama free way.

Blue is "resting comfortably" so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to get the details. Hopefully, he'll want to eat.

As for Mr. Eddie, he decided drama is the only way to go. PMPS 409
