Hi, all,
Hope everyone is doing well. Haven't been on here in a long time because after a while, a lot of it is the same old wash, rinse, and repeat. I think the issue we're having here now is she'll start to get good numbers...gain weight...then need more insulin...start to get good numbers...gain weight...then need more insulin, etc. I think tonight I'm going to up her to 5 units. Haven't caught a blue in a few days. I bought a food scale so I can accurately measure her food and am starting her on a diet. The vet said to decrease by 20% and then a month later do another 20%. I started a little more conservatively at 10% just out of nervousness to go too fast. She doesn't always eat the full amount I give her so probably won't see any results with the 10% or even the 20%, really, but just being cautious. But I think I need to get her weight controlled because otherwise we're just going to keep climbing and climbing weight-wise and dose-wise. So yeah, that's the latest and the greatest!
