I overslept big time, and woke up right at AMPS. One thing good about feeding at AMPS is if you are sleeping and it's breffis time, the cats are going to wake you up.

J.D. ate a lot last night, soon after I gave him some cypro at PM +2. This morning he ate most of his 1st Breffis and we went on a walk (no carrying), just me and J.D. around the courtyard, with me giving him bits of steak slice the first half way. The tempurature outside is much cooler this morning. Currently he is laying on the deck, and I have to watch him, because he may try to go hide, because he may think he's going to work again.

Hoping this is a high before a break. J.D., please come down nicely, today.

J.D. seemed off balance a little last night, like when he jumped off the couch, and was walking, and I am wondering if it's the Ondansetron that's causing it. It says on the bottle, may cause dizziness. Maybe I'll go back to 1/4 pill BID.
He walked much better on our walk this morning, and it's been 10 hours since his last pill.
Well, off to get ready for work.

gosh, JD. that's a pretty high amps there buddy. You really need to get off that top floor and come down ever so nicely for your mom.
Good that he is out walking, and I believe the meds may be making him dizzy. Ralphie was taking tramadol and boy did that have an effect on him. He slept most of the time and was just plain bonked the other.

JD, you make ME dizzy with all this bouncing around. hope it is the high before the break. maybe he was having some pain and BG went up. he is a hard one to figure out for sure

A bit high for you, J.D. Hopefully you'll come down very soon from that high perch. Hoping for a good day for you both, and a nice lower surf for J.D.

Come on down JD, there's no air up there!

We know ECID. We use the ondansetron and cypro with Zener and the meds have been so very helpful! We give 1/4 pill (1mg) twice a day. He has cerebellar hypoplasia so has poor balance and a special walk anyway, and on this level of med, he has not had problems with dizziness. We also use a lot less cypro than the vets usually prescribe, only 1/8 of a tablet. The cypro can make Zener drowsy and a little off too. We try to spread that out and not give every cycle but every other day or every 3 days, if his appy is down.

Paws crossed for some lower numbers tonight!
 
I had a tough day at work, left late, fighting traffic, got home late for PMPS. Came home to a big ole stinky hairball in the middle of the living room and Ginger rushing to exit the house to get some air and some grass A.S.A.P. and then all the squirrels lined up and waiting for their peanuts. J.D.'s PM shot was at least 20 minutes late. I noticed that almost no left out food was touched, today. I cleaned up the hairball, and let the cats out for a bit. At +0.75, I fed their 1st Dinner, which J.D. ate, and I also gave him 1/4 ondansetron only, 1/4 pepcid and 1/4 cypro. Ginger then threw up all her dinner across one of the legs of the dining room table and on each side. I cleaned that up and went to visit my neighbor. Came home and stepped in more with bare feet.

Tomorrow is going to be a better day!
 
Oh my...rough day. I hope things settle down! At least that PMPS is much better than AMPS!

Get some rest....tomorrow is a new day!
 
I'm sorry you had such a crazy day, Dyana. And hairball...ick. Bare feet...double ick!! Welcome home ;-) ;-)

I'm glad to see JD came down tonight.
 
I'm so sorry you had a rough day Dyana. Hopefully the much nice PMPS gave you a little comfort and the furbabes showed you plenty of lovin' even though they made tons of messes. Hope you get some rest and a better day tomorrow!
 
Oh, Dyana, so sorry you had a hard day. I remember those bare feet ick days with my other kitties, hated when it squished through the toes :lol: Daphne doesn't clean herself, so not too much hairballs now a days.

Hope you have a better day tomorrow! Keep cool, we are in for more humid weather in a day. We have one more day of dry heat, so enjoy!!
