Shen turned 12 today!
In keeping with our family tradition, we had a very low-key celebration where all we did was sleep, sleep and sleep some more :D

Shen got a teeny bit of a creamy treat today. I do like how aggressive he gets for it, so I was tempted to offer him the entire tube :p

I feel grateful to be able to celebrate his birthday minus the anxiety and stress of 2 months ago :)

Here’s a picture of Shen in various stages of chonkiness over the years - I miss his double chin :D

Which creamy treat? There are some in the US (like Churu) which are low carb. Maybe some brands here are LC as well? I've never explored them.

Temptations Salmon & Cheese Flavor. I think it’s a HC one. I keep it in stock to bring up the low BGs but rarely offer it otherwise.
I’ve seen the Inaba Churu treats online and was planning on trying - good to know they’re LC!
