Good morning!
AMPS 173 shooting .5u
One more day Boom then I'll have to fatten the dose.

As predicted yesterday when Boomer dropped almost 100 points in 3 hours, he bounced last night. He ate most of his overnight fuds but left a bit in his +6 and a bit in his +9. Instead of giving him a wee +9 meal I gave him a normal size meal...my thinking was that the food might kick his pancreas into dropping some insulin and therefore lower his AMPS. It didn't work.

Allen ate very well overnight; one might say he's being rather piggish lol. This is the result of the new med started two nights ago. He had one soft poop last night and another that was partially diarrhea. I guess I'll give it a few days to give him time to get used to the new meds.

Today starts a trend of very hot weather over the long weekend. This afternoon after +5 we're hoping to go to a provincial park about 30 minutes away; I've been told there are Red-Headed Woodpeckers there and I've never been lucky enough to see one let alone photograph one.

Yeah on good Allen report :woot: Boo on heat :( I know it’s summer but here we are under excessive heat warning with indexes in the 100s :(:nailbiting: Not fun

I hope Boomer gives you some green today. I'm glad Allen is doing well. We're under a heat advisory here too. It's supposed to feel like the 100sF this weekend.

Nice report. The +9 snack doesn't help Olive either, but she or Tux wouldn't go that long without eating. Sometimes Olive doesn't eat it but that is rare. Red headed woodpeckers are abundant here especially in the winter. The made a mess out of our pear tree.

I see Downy Woodpeckers on a regular basis; sometimes in my yard. I see lots of Red-Bellied Woodpeckers when I'm out birding. But the darn pileated and red-headed are elusive to me lol. Hoping to change that today.

I'm so sorry to hear so many are having heat problems. I was watching the national news last night and such a widespread area is really heating up miserably. I hope you all take care, 2 and 4 feet, and don't suffer too much.

+3 151
Not sure what's going on with the Boomer. Maybe he's resting today because he's planning something for tonight. idk.

+5 was 128
We went for our drive. Didn't find the Red-Headed Woodpecker where I expected to in the provincial park. But we went across the street to a museum and we were wandering the grounds and I found one there! YAY! And then on the way home there was a fox at the side of the street. DH apparently didn't think he should pull over  you'd think he'd know better by now! Anyways I made him turn around and go back

Hmmm a slow blue slide today. When he did that before he ended up in mid greens at PM +3. Let's see what happens tonight.

What causes Glucose Toxicity?

Compared to Ravan's SS Boomer's 2017 SS looks pretty good to me. No Black & only a small amount of red #'s
Ravan's High Bg is scarring me. I'm so worried about his kidneys. He's still drinking a LOT of water & peeing buckets!
He's also starting to walk slow, like his legs are hurting?
There should be something I can do to get rid of the High #'s It feels they're never going back down.

Just waiting for a change doesn't seem right. I should be able to help him!

Glucose Toxicity is caused by the kitty not getting enough insulin. And that was totally my fault....because he had gone into remission right after a dental once I assumed he might do it again so when I restarted insulin after a dental I restarted at way too low an amount. And had to fight for several weeks to get his numbers down.
I hear you about being worried! Ravan isn't spending a lot of time in black; he may bounce to black but then he drops just as quickly. We just need to level those curves. More on your condo!
