Last Night:
236 PMPS
294 +4.5
243 +9.25

I thought J.D. would give me a yellow AMPS with all that yellow last night. I gave him 1.00mm of insulin this morning, and he got the same last night. I am going to stick with that for awhile and see how it does. I am trying hard to ignore the marks.

J.D. ate his 1st Breffis while I took my 15+ minutes to get the dose ready, then we went for a short walk, then at just +0.5, 2nd Breffis of FF Trout Feast (a favorite) was served and consumed. J.D. is in his big doggy bed looking out at the world through the sliding glass window, and Ginger is still taking a bath, after her feast, in the little kitty bed.
J.D. was a warm soft purr pillow last night

I hope everyone has a good day.

Sounds like JD is feeling good and that is what it is all about. Give your mama bean some yellows, k big guy? Have a great day Dyana!

Re: 06/27 J.D. AMPS 352

sounds like a nice happy household today, except no yellows. Hope you see some movement today, Dyana!

So, I hope J.D.'s okay. He has lost a little weight lately. And when I feed him, he acts like he can't smell it or something. I give him his food in his bowl and he walks right past it and keeps following me into the kitchen. I have had to put toppings on his food at meal times, and then he'll eat it.
So, this morning, I gave him some cypro, and because all I had frozen was a can of FF Medleys (MC), I quickly threw a 1/2 can of FF LC in the freezer about an hour before I had to leave. I left out the can of FF Medleys and the 1/2 can of LC, and the automatic feeder loaded as usual with 1/4 can 9 Lives in each side. Yesterday, when I got home from work, it looked like nothing had been touched. This evening, when I got home from work, all food (including the 9 Lives which they rarely eat), had been eaten.
And J.D.'s fur was extra soft, so I thought his test would be lower, but I guess it was just all the food.

Tonight, he ate 1/4 can of FF for his 1st Dinner (after I sprinkled it with chicken dust), and ate a bunch of mostly frozen steak slices on our walk.

He was staying pretty consistant at 13lbs. 12oz. (up and down an oz or two) and this morning he was 13lbs 6.5oz and this evening he was the same. I keep telling myself that all his bloodwork (and he's had 4 full blood work ups in the last 6 months) is fine, so he is fine. But I worry, still.

Anyway, he's out laying on the deck, and Ginger is tied to the balcony, both enjoying the evening breezes.

Come on down JD. Pretty consistent numbers AM and PM. Thank goodness for freeze dried chicken dust. Most times my civie won't eat and walks by his chicken or turkey unless it has freeze dried dust on top, but he's fine with the red meat. Just being cats!

Hey, Dyana and JD -

So, I'm guessin' you're using the calipers to measure now? Doug is using them to measure Hershey's, too. I told him I plan to use them AND eyeball to double-check behind myself when I'm giving the shots. He fails to understand my OCD need to check behind myself. ;-)

Sounds like y'all had a good day, even without the yellow. I can't offer any assistance in that area, sorry.

We are having a similar issue with Hershey's weight. We thought 12 pounds (or maybe a little more) was his ideal weight, but although he gained in that direction, he lost back to 10.6 and seems to want to stay there, no matter how much he eats. I don't know why they walk past their food sometimes. Almost every meal, Oreo seems to forget how to eat from his bowl or something. I heat it. Put in down. Walk back into the kitchen and there he is, sitting at my feet waiting for his food. I have to feed him the first bite from the spoon ALMOST every meal. :YMSIGH:

Sounds like y'all are having a wonderful evening, too; love those summer breezes. I'd break out into a little Seals & Crofts, but that might date me

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

We have heaps of appy issues with Zener so we understand how stressful it is when they don't eat! Zener's bloodwork and tests have all been normal too, and our vet suggested the FD can effect the stomach motility and nerves. We use cypro from time to time, but we always use an anti-nausea med, usually ondansetron, so we aren't making him eat if his tummy is queasy. For Zener a little bit of cypro will last several days, so we use about 1/8 to 1/4 of a tablet and get the same results - he eats everything! Come on down now JD, make your bean a happy bean!
