J.D. was 322 at +11. He is fine and is reclining in his bed next to the open sliding glass door.
Ginger's eye looks fine, but I still may take her to the vet tonight.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Guess he didn't get that memo (or he just has tricks up his fur to get extra special snackuses).

Ginger ate a slug...

When I got home from work, there's this cat named Noah..he belongs to a neighbor, but she won't give him wet food, so he comes to my house to get a little snack of wet food. Since I'm currently low on LC Friskies, I gave him some of my stash of HC Friskies. Noah ate some and left some in the bowl, and went back home. I tested J.D. and gave him his insulin and both cats some dinner (oh yeah, I came home to three fresh plops of throw up too  ), and then grabbed Ginger and we went to the vet..where she drooled all over the place. She has a little puncture wound right at the rim of her eyelid..so she got Neo-Poly-BAC ointment to be put in her eye.. I tested J.D. when we returned home, and let the cats out.
I saw both of them go for the half eaten bowl of Friskies and yelled "NO!" and ran out to grab the bowl away from them. I put the bowl on a deck chair, and saw that there were two slugs in it having a feast. Just now, I went to check on the cats and peered at the bowl and all the food is gone along with one slug (R.I.P.). Ginger is the only one who would jump up on the chair and eat that, I hope... guck!!

Never a dull moment. Hope Ginger enjoyed her treat and glad her eye is okay. You must have taken the bungee cord and trampoline to work. J.D. has a nice PMPS. GO J.D.

So, Ginger likes Escargot, eh? Without the garlic? Or Butter? wow...
(I second the "yuck"....when I lived up in NY I had a nightly "slug patrol" that I would go on around my garden with a flashlight...and a handful of salt. I used to drop a few grains on each slug. I hated them cause they ate everything that I had slaved so much over...it was war! I will tell you about the earwigs another time... )
I had wanted to stop by to say hello to you guys and now, I am not in the mood for my own dinner after reading about Ginger's....

Mmm, good, fresh slugs! When we lived in Brooklyn we used to entice them to come out with cracked corn and then go out and "harvest" them and flush them down the toilet. In the NYC sewers they probably became giant slugs!!
Glad Ginger's eye will be OK. J.D. had a good day today. Stu will see him later at the party.

How does a cat keep himself so perfectly flat? Through food and insulin? He's had 2 dinners tonight since PMPS, and lots of freeze dried treats. I wonder if this is his new bounce (bean knocks on wood). Or maybe my meter needs a good knock.
I'm happy :-D and J.D. feels good.

I'm glad you figured out what's up with Ginger. I guess she wanted a LC treat to go along with the HC Friskies! Yeesh!

Lots of yellow for J.D. Does that mean you'll have an exciting day tomorrow?
