Thanks for the well wishes.
I left work to get Ginger to the vet, and when I got home I saw her face in her bowl, and she ate most of it (1/4 can of FF with lots of different toppings). The vet was very nice (not our regular vet, although he's pretty nice, too), and said Ginger was not dehydrated, her tempurature was normal, and she did not have pain upon squeezing her tummy area. She gave her a shot of Centrine (in the scruff  ) and said it was an anti-spazmatic or something like that (would help her with the diarreha), and gave me some liquod antibiotics called Orbax. She said that she might not be 100% tonight or tomorrow, but if she wasn't eating by Saturday, that I could bring her in and they would watch her for me (that means board her  ). I said, but what about Sundays (when they're closed) and she said there is always someone there (it's an old house, maybe they have apartments upstairs), that just because they don't answer the phones doesn't mean there aren't people there. Anyway, she said that was an option for me, and that I would be able to go on my vacation. I said, "but, I'm going to be gone for 2 weeks, can she just stay for like 5 days or until she feels better?", and she said "yes".
The second, Ginger was let out of the carrier, when we got home, she went straight to the food bowl and ate some food.
Tonight, she did not want her (canned FF) dinner, but she went into the bathroom, where I sometimes sneak her some dry EVO when she isn't feeling well, so I gave her maybe 25 kibbles, and she left 5 of them uneaten.
I was just outside with my cats, talking to another neighbor, and Ginger was on a leash, and nothing stops her from wanting to eat that baby bunny rabbit  . She ate a few illegal cat treats while we were out there. She still hasn't touched the wet FF, though.
I told the vet, I have less than 3 days, today, tomorrow, and Saturday, to get her better. I guess I just thought I was insinuating that I would want a strong antibiotic that would work quickly (like 3 days worth). She sounded hopeful, that this medicine would work. My problem, is do I now have to tell the neighbor pet sitter lady that she has to try to give medicine to Ginger? The vet "acted like" (I thought) the antibiotics until Saturday would be good.
Later, when I was back at work, I called the vet hospital and talked to the receptionist. I asked her, how long I had to give this medicine for, because I wasn't sure I heard the doctor say anything about a duration. She had to look up Ginger's chart, and said to me "did you get a bottle?" and I said "yes", and she said "then you have to finish the bottle." That means my neighbor will have to try to get medicine into Ginger. Ginger is such a fierce fighter. I hope the receptionist was wrong.
Anyway, that's our story. Sorry, for rambling, as always.
