210! :arghh::arghh::blackeye: Yikes! He seems to be hiding less today, but he looks and feels very bloated - he feels like he's gained a couple of pounds in just a few days. Haven't seen him poop since last night; he is peeing okay, and I'm checking his ketones daily. He ate his breakfast in installments, and didn't finish it, but today's menu was chicken which is not his fave.

I feel that one of these :arghh: doesn't really do justice for you at the moment.

You may use one of these

instead for the duration.

Hope the echo is all good L & that you are still alive despite the quacks.

Thanks, M!:bighug:I'm still here, not for lack of trying on the part of the quacks, lol.

You are absolutely correct, the :arghh: does not do me justice at the moment.

is a much, much better representation of my current state of mind!

Thanks to everybody for the well-wishes for me and Squallie. His echo went wonderfully well today, the cardiologist was very impressed with how well his heart is at his age. His heart is in great shape; he has trace mitral valve regurgitation, she said nothing to worry about, though. Heart size and function are normal. :):cat:

Now the bad news....I have to reschedule Friday's dental because of whatever has thrown his BG out of control. Weird place - Reception can't schedule procedures - so I have to call on Thursday. Actually, I'd rather his dental was done on another day, anyway; if he has any problems from it, going into the weekend, my options are very limited in terms of getting him help. So tomorrow I will contact his regular vet and see if he will give me a round of ABs to clear up what I suspect is a dental infection. I'm really hoping he'll do it over the phone, I really can't afford another vet bill this month!

ETA: If I can figure out how to do it, I'll scan his results into my laptop and post them here.

So glad the echo was good, stout hearted little Squallie! He's a dear boy. I hope you get the AB and get him settled down and more comfortable, ready for the dental.
