Last Night:
343 PMPS
415 +2.5
322 +7
428 +11

J.D. slept with me all night, and was purring this morning while I kept hitting the snooze button.
He ate his 1st Breffis, and is anxious to go for a walk outside, or is anxious to run away because he thinks he's getting in the carrier again. (Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday I put him in the carrier and either took him to vet or work).
Right now he is taking a bath.

I'm still a little confused about the fluids, but hopefully, I'll understand, soon. He's had a couple of drinks of water this morning, but short ones, and the litter box is so less peed in.. It seems the fluids help him to drink and pee less, but I think I am being told that he should not get fluids if he's not dehydrated because his kidneys still have to process those fluids. But, what I don't understand, yet  is that he drinks and pees a lot less when he gets them, so I would think less is going through his kidneys.

Kitties are waiting to go outside, must get dressed.

Nice report on J.D. with the cuddling and purring. Good questions on the fluids and will be interesting on the feedback. Have a nice day.

A purry J.D. is a happy J.D.!!

I am also interested in hearing what the experts say about the fluids. I wish I had the answers but I don't want to give the wrong advice. Maybe Marje will be along soon. She gives such great advice about fluids.

Have a wonderful day!

Re: 06/04 J.D. AMPS 395

I called my vet, and asked him to explain to me again, what he told me on Saturday, about why to give the 150ml of fluids every other day. And he said it was to not puncture him full of holes, or something like that...
He said if his drinking and peeing subside, that I can try going down to 100ml every other day, and them maybe to every third day. I asked him if I needed to do this indefinitely and he said yes, as it was holding off kidney disease or holding at bay, or something like that. I am so bad with quoting things verbatum.

Wow Dyana, this whole fluid thing sure seems a bit confusing. I would also like to learn how this all works. Sorry poor J.D. has to get poked with all the fluids, I think they are pretty big syringes aren't they? Can't remember, Daphne had them when she was at the vet when she was dx.

Hope this gets resolved soon.

NIce numbers J.D.-Dyana, Hope J.D. will get much better & need the fluids less & less...I have known you both for so long, we do what we must for our babies...Sending Healing vines to him, and whatever helps--
Seems like doctors & vets are talking faster & faster lately, & we must comprehend as the words flash by us ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile You could ask to have instructions printed out if the vet's office could do that!
Thinking of you & J.D. having things easier. Sending Hugs, Love & know all will be well..

Silly cat. He didn't even eat any dinners until right before that +2 test, but was outside, hanging out on the porch.

I knew (or thought I knew) J.D. had good numbers when I got home from work late, after PMPS, and grabbed J.D. up in my arms and pressed his soft belly fur to my nose, in loving greeting ;-)

Guess it's an early night for us.
