It’s important he not lose weight quickly, even if that means higher carbs. What wet food are you feeding him? You might need a different flavor or brand. :bighug:

Yes Elise i am definitely worried about that and kibble was my solution :( Lando rotates between FF pate; and soulistic pouches and cans ( both are in the 5-9 carb range). The main problem is that he only wants to eat tiny portions at a time, then will leave the rest untouched. as it is right now i give him 6 meals in 24 hrs( different sizes)

also i just looked ( since memory isnt reliable ;) ) he lost 1 lb in 2.5 months

Is he acting like pancreatitis is the cause? Tiny amounts often is how I fed Max too.
Pancreatitis cause of loosing weight? Or cause of tiny eating? Hmmmm so hard to tell. He was doing amazingly well over the past 2-3 weeks. His appetite was great ( best since diagnosis) He only vomited when his pilling didnt seem to go well. Its only been since Dr E’s supply chain went bonkers and the bags of kibble seem to be different color/size that hes been fussy

his weight loss started when he started eating wet food again

I was thinking because of the decline of appetite. It sounds like Dr. Elsey’s changed their formula. Do you have the old bag to check the ingredients? Does the bag look any different? If it’s because if tge food changing I would not be concerned. I’d want to find food he will eat though.

They ( dr e) posted that the formula for chicken HAD changed ( something about flax). Luckily his appetite for all of his wet has stayed exactly the same ( roughly 3 oz of wet a day). He will still eat the dr e turkey formula which has 8 carbs. Not ideal but thats what im doing now until i can put more wet food in him.

whether this is pancreas related i can only guess
