Good morning!
AMPS 329 shooting 3.0u. Looks like I need to issue the dosecrease threat! Likely should have been today but I have an appt at 1:00 (+6) this afternoon on the other side of the city and DH wants to come with me. So I'll hold this dose for another day.

Boomer ate most of his overnight food, leaving about a tbsp.

Today's photo was taken about a week ago at Saunders Pond and is a female Baltimore Oriole!

Just got a call from Dr Larry's assistant and they've had a dental cancellation for Friday and wanted to know if we were interested in bringing Boomer in. Boomer's appt was scheduled for June 21. I said yes.
Normally, I would reduce his dose 3-4 cycles ahead of time to drain the depot, then not give a shot the day of the dental. Dr Larry allows me to feed Boomer up until 5:00 am.
My plan was to increase his dose tomorrow however I will just leave the dose as is.
 
Good luck with the dental. It’s great you could get in earlier. With his high numbers, I wouldn’t worry much about the depot.

Love the bird pics, have a few of my own to post when I get back. The one of flamingos in a mineral lake in front of a volcano in Bolivia is my favourite so far.

Hi Judy, I am so glad you can get the dental done sooner. Bubba is going on Tuesday for a dental ( and so is momma)

I was wondering why you would drain the depot 3-4 cycles prior? I thought it's a 1/2 of a dose the morning of ( depending on your vet) or nothing at all.

With Boomer there have been times when I have skipped the dose (or reduced) and he's actually dropped lower that cycle; I assumed the depot was released and caused it. So now I reduce the dose 3-4 cycles ahead of time to deplete the depot. Dr Larry tells me to give half shot or a full shot but Boomer drops low after a dental (once he's home) so I do not give a shot the day of the dental (and he usually doesn't get one that night either).
