Squallie still isn't himself, although I think his mouth may be feeling a bit better: he isn't pawing at it quite as much. Appy still is not good.

I probably won't start the bupe until tomorrow, I will be gone 'til late tonight and I don't want to leave him alone the first time he takes it. Timing stinks for a visit to the dental vet, too, I have appointments all next week and the earliest I could get him there would be the following week. Unfortunately, I can't reschedule or postpone my appointments. :(

I'd hold off on the bupe to until you know how he reacts. What is the dose they want you to give him? Sending loads of feel better and appy vines for Squallie.

Oh, Lucy, I am so sorry that Squallie's mouth is bothering him. I remember Bubba pawing at his face with a bad tooth. It breaks your heart.

Sending lots of vines your way. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Yes, I don't want to give it to him unless I'm here to monitor him. The vet sent me pre-filled syringes, 0.1 ml 2x/day as needed. Does that seem reasonable? I've never used it before.

It seems to be the standard dose. My 15lb kitten couldn’t handle it, keeped him too sedated but that is unusual from what I was told. Try it and if need be you can lower the amount.

Did you have a hard time getting it in his cheek pocket? It looks like an awful lot!

How much does Squallie weigh? You can start with 1/2 and see how he does. It’s easier to increase rather then have it be too much. I was able to get it in the cheek and Leo just had full mouth extractions which I was afraid to mess with his mouth.

Squallie weighs about 13 1/2 lbs.

Lucy, I keep wondering if it is infection why it hasn’t affected his numbers ??? I’m a novice at such things so I’m sure you know :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
