I havent been on in a couple days, did an increase yesterday since his numbers went so high.. Rory seems to always be hungry lately, I am gathering it is due to the diet change of wet food only. I gave him some fancy feast pate for a change tonight and he enjoyed it.. he wants to be out on the deck all night tonight, too vocal for indoors keeping everyone up!! even his brother made us get up to let him outside!! :roll: I think there is female around that he cant get at anyhow
I think it was a good idea to increase. Rory, stay out of the dry food! It's hard to break that addiction... :roll: His appetite might be high because his blood sugar is high and his cells can't absorb the glucose. Maybe he's just not getting enough to eat. If he's maintaining his weight, he is getting enough to eat. It's a real guessing game sometimes.
How are you doing, Var-ee? You're doing a great job with everything, getting those mid-cycle tests to see what his nadir is.
You might want to take a look at Mr. Grey's spreadsheet. Notice how he had high numbers at a higher and higher dose and then all of a sudden his numbers came down and his dose dropped really fast? No one knows for sure why but he might have had an insulin resistance that broke. I don't know if Rory has that or not but it's something that we look out for.
