05.05 Chico 95@AMPS postponed increase

So yesterday's AMPS was lower than for a long time so we decided to give him another round of cycles a try on the dose 0.75. We got up to the nice surprise this morning: 95@AMPS. We are very hopeful even if Chico likes it the nonstandard way: first AMPS green. Let's see if this means later PMPS green as well or going back to blues.

Have a nice safe surfing day to all the kitties :bighug:

The "dose increase threat" worked its magic on Chico! Have a great surf today, Chico :cat::D

I decided to create a new thread to answer to your comment :)

Marina, best of luck to you and Chico. I haven't seen anyone analyse and interpret their kitty's numbers as well as you (and of course you even took a look at Minnie's way back when, I am so appreciative!)

Thank you Liz for your kind words :bighug: To be fair Chico made it relatively easy for us so more credit to him than to us :)

I was very happy to look at Minnie's numbers back then, i know it helped us a lot when somebody else would give us their opinion on what Chico's numbers meant, this is why this community is so special :bighug:

I can't relate to these tiny dose discussions (not yet, anyway!) but definitely relating to the discussion about stopping/slowing the diving. I was very stressed with Minnie's last reduction - BG up, ketones up - and now it looks like the 5u is kicking back in, I am quite determined to work on feeding the curve and hopefully flattening more before we need to reduce again.

I think going back to 5U will be good, i remember reading some time in the protocol that we should reduce when the kitty is regulated on the previous dose. I know that there are a lot of different situations but as a rule of thumb i would try to keep Chico on a good dose for as long as possible.

I believe Minnie is relatively predictable, i am certain you can manage to feed her curve :) Just but seeing when does she get to lime green I would say that if you see a blue preshot, test +1, otherwise the +2 is a good indicator that she is active. If you want my 2 cents, on the 29/4 AM because of the very steep drop between PS to +2 and then to +4 i would have started feeding a bit higher carbs at +4 or tested a bit more often just to catch a probable drop. She nadired much later than expected (at +9) but that is not entirely unexpected if the kitty is unregulated.

I am hopeful for you that you get Chico into remission but will be so sorry to lose your keen eye from here!!:bighug: I hope you all get a decent night's numbers AND sleep tonight.
Thank you very much for your support, it is Chico who will decide if he want to go into remission or if he likes all the attention too much for this to happen :D:D

I hope you manage to get Minnie in more consistent better numbers as soon as possible with the least amount of stress and sleepless nights as possible :bighug:

Just don't ask me to do the threatening!:p:D:eek:
And I'm with you, on Marinas ability to read spreadsheets. It's really amazing how she, and in such a short time!!! just finds patterns! Very impressive!

Thank you Sasha :) very kind of you to say that. It was a lot of manhours spent on different spreadsheet though and my understanding is being always turned upside down by reality haha

You're trying, and you're often right in your predictions. You must have a math brain :D
I hope you stick around when that thing happens we all want :p:D:bighug:

This is all assuming that the cat will eat! You are an amazing interpreter of spreadsheet data for sure, Marina.
