Thanks to Marje and Sienne for the information on dose reductions with long term diabetics, Zener just passed his 1 year annifursary in March. Wishing a good day in LL to all.

Gotta run, crazy day!

Congrats on the countdown for 3 below 50 numbers! Not too bad so far, but stop trying to sneak up to those other floors, Zenner.

Hi Anne, congrats on the dosecrease. I hope you can get some rest tonight.

Nice greens Zener! And plenty of blues today. Hard to believe he's now a "long-term" diabetic huh? Tarragon hit it in March too and I've had to readjust my way of thinking. Hope you all have a great night!

Re: 05/02 Zener PMPS 155

Looks like not too bad a bounce and short lived! :-D

@Ann & Tess - Zener went up mid-cycle then came back down to a blue PMPS.

@Ann & Maggie - looks like our last dosecrease has taken effect! Since he doesn't hold reductions well and is past his 1year FD annifursary, we are going with the 3 below 50, unless he drops below 40 of course, or if we really have to work to keep the numbers up. We want to keep our special CH guy safe! ;-)

@Melissa & Mr T - yes lovely blues with a spot of yellow. We are working on our new way of thinking with our guy. ;-)

Off to get a +1.

Re: 05/02 Zener PMPS 155

Hope you managed to get SOME sleep, Anne.

From your condo last night (sorry....no PJ party for me...I hit the sack early):

Anne and Zener said:
What would we do if we opt for the 3x below 50 and we have a cycle where he drops below 40?

It depends. If he drops below 40 once and hasn't dropped below 50 yet even once, then I think you could shave if you wanted. But if he's already dropped below 50 a couple times and then drops below 40 (which would still be considered as dropping below 50 right ;-)) , you should reduce by .25u to keep him safe.

Nice PMPS!!!

Re: 05/02 Zener PMPS 155

Welcome to the "+1 Year Club"! Gosh, how time flies!! Congrats on the dosecrease and the short-lived bounce!!

@Marje - I managed to get about 6 hours sleep before having to get into work. He looks like he is setting up for a good cycle, but we can never be sure exactly what he will do. I do not have to be at work tomorrow until noon, so if I need to stay up I will have more sleep in the morning. Thanks for answering my question about the 3x below 50 with a drop below 40 in there. We definitely want to keep the big guy safe!

@Amy - thanks for the +1 year welcome! We opted to not shave the dose after the cycle last night and try the 3x below 50 to see if we can get some flatter and even cycles, especially at AMPS.

I have to travel to Phoenix (2 hours away) Friday for a work conference and will get back home Saturday evening, so Liz has to be BIC again. Fortunately, it is only for one night and it's the weekend!

Zener - you made the lagoon!!! Take a dip for me, OK? I'm kinda stuck on the yellow floor. I can't seem to find the exit sign. bummer. ~~ Mannie

@Michelle & Mannie - Hey Manster, I gets stuck on that floor alot. The exit sign is hard to find, but you keep on looking. I know you'll find it! -Zener

Zener is eating very well this evening, had a couple of picnics and did yard patrol. Poo patrol was diligent and successful this evening! ;-)

The big guy seems a little wobbly today, with his R hip either stiff/painful or it almost looks like it gives out a little on him. Our guy can sometimes fall when trying to get up on things and has a history of sprains, and we've also seen this walking pattern before when his anal glands were full. We go back to the vet Tuesday for a 2 week follow up to the last "expression" and one of his anal glands had a plug in it and it was tough to get it out. So we are wondering if it might be giving him some trouble again or wasn't completely emptied on our last visit. I got out my flashlight and Liz and I "explored" around there tonight, but nothing looks swollen or inflamed. Zener was a real trooper about us putting his privates in the spotlight. @-)

And, it must not be anything too serious as his numbers are looking very good!

Re: 05/02 Zener PMPS 155;+1 188;+2 128;+3 98;+4 75

Sorry about the "behind" problem, hope everything turns out fine! Zenner looks great with those green numbers too!
