WCR: All is well with Blackie. 65 days on this pen. Had to poke an extra time this morning get a sample. May be the reason for the higher AMPS #. Hate doing that to her.

Sending tons of healing vines, positive thoughts, and prayers to whoever needs them.

I hate it when it happens, too. It seems like every time I have to repoke her, the #s shoot up. I'm chalking it up to anxiety, I'm guessing.

I hate the extra pokes too, but they seem to bother me more than Cleo!
Looks like Blackie has recovered from any poke stress she had :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

We often have to poke more than once, too. Part of the problem is our rice sock is old and sometimes it gets too hot and other times not warm enough, even though we put it in the microwave for the same amount of time. Cinco is pretty good about it, but he will growl on occasion if he's been poked too often, as he has lately. My DH tries so hard not to poke too deeply that he often doesn't go deep enough. It's just part of the dance, I guess.

We hate the extra pokes here, too. I completely agree with Tricia on the rice sock - too hot, too cold, and then we replace the rice and have to go through the whole "perfect micro time" ordeal all over again! :YMSIGH: Luckily, our kitties are forgiving little critters. (Well.....all but a few who shall remain unnamed are! :lol:)

Sorry about the extra poke this morning. Every once in a while, I have to do the same with Shasta and I feel sooooo bad. Blackie is looking lovely today. Hope you both have a wonderful evening!!! Goodnight.
