Hello,
I think I have discovered why Carbonel was a whopping great 481 last night and why she has been so poorly of late. I think she has either been eating dog food or dog faeces! Yesterday when she went out she had high blood sugar, but her mood was good. She was out for two hours and came back very poorly and her blood sugar was through the roof.
I fed her and gave her slightly more Insulin and locked her in. I won't go into detail but it was clear from the copious faeces she produced that she was not just eating raw food. The reason why I think she might be eating dog faeces is that she has become interested in eating her own. Oh dear!
Her mid-cycle numbers were so much better today that she will be staying in again tonight and hopefully if her blood sugar level comes down into the normal range she won't be so keen on eating pooh.
Does anybody else have a desperatey hungry cat that eats pooh?

Kind regards,
Carol and Carbonel
