Re: 04/15 J.D. AMPS 298, PMPS 388 - Fly Free My Friend Noah
I gave J.D. a little more insulin tonight (it's still a little less than 1.25, I think, it's such a hard dose to measure and be consistant, anyway) and I gave him a little R to help him.
I'm kind of cyring buckets right now, because I just found out that Noah passed on. He was my neighbor's cat, and for the past 8 years, greeted me at my car when I came home from work, like I was his mom, and followed me to my house, like I was his mom, even when I parked around the corner, he would sometimes find me where I parked, or I would find him on my porch waiting for me. I would give him wet food, because my neighbor said they couldn't afford it. I'd always have to look out for him because he was gray and the color of the pavement, and I would sometimes see him run across the street to me, when he saw/heard my car. The last time I saw him, was Monday night. The day it was 80 degrees outside. I fed him like I usually do. Three times like I usually did (I would give him a 1/4 can of Friskies with water and he would patiently sit there when he was done, and I would give him another 1/4, and another 1/4). I had recently told his ma, that he was eating a lot, "just in case his vet asks". That night, when I peeked through the curtains, I saw him sitting/laying in one of the patio chairs (normally, he went home after he ate). He was the type of cat that would let you pet him a time or two or three and then attack you, even though he was declawed in front. He was known by all the neighbors as super friendly, but don't pet him cause he'll attack you.
Noah had been fighting cancer for about a year. But they said they couldn't see the tumor anymore (I forget where it was). He was on prednisone. My neighbor said that Noah had problems with peeing blood for awhile, and that night she had taken him to the ER because he was trying to pee but couldn't. They forced the pee out somehow, and saw? a tumor using an ultrasound when they were placing the needle. She knew/thought it was time. And she said she was thinking of coming over to my house that mornng, so I could say goodbye to Noah. but she didn't. She decided that day to put him to sleep.
Right now, J.D. and Ginger are agressively fighting (like J.D. had Ginger on the ground, and J.D. is making those noises, and now he's attacking Ginger, again. I gotta go. I just wanted to express myself.
My neighbor said she wanted to tell me, because I was like his other mom. Will I get to see him at the bridge, even though I was not his owner?
Fly Free My Friend, Noah. I alway called him my friend..
