04/14 Jasmine - PMPS 201.6, +2 156.6, +3 118.8 - fast drop?

Hello, Today is Jasmine's 2nd day back on Lantus. Yesterday she was on 0.5 units and this morning 0.5. Tonight, I think it was closer to 0.75 units (I find it hard to accurately measure when dosing under 1 unit). Her numbers seem to be dropping fast as she is at 118.8 only 3 hours after her insulin dose. She is scheduled to eat in 3 hours? I will check her blood again in 1 or 2 hours.

PMPS - 201.6
+2 - 156.6
+3 - 118.8

I don't think I've posted in your condo yet....sorry to see you back, but welcome!

I would give her a tsp or two of food now, and get another test at +4. Nice that she's responding, but let's see if we can slow her down a bit. Do you have HC gravy food if you need it?

Hey guys,

@ Natalia & Enana - I am using 3/10 cc (1/2 unit) needles. I still struggle with getting the right amount in the needle.

@ Laurie & Mr Tinkles - No I don't have the gravy food on hand. I have only Purina DM canned. I just gave her a teaspoon of that and she gulped it down. I will test at +4 to see where she is.

yeah, i think jasmine has that "come hither" look that would have punkin falling all over himself to get to her! :lol:

Update: @ +4 her blood is 120.6 (45 minutes after having a teaspoon of food)

I will check again in a bit.

It looks like the DM stopped her cold! I wouldn't give any more of that, just stick with normal LC food unless she goes low.
