Hi, everyone!

Despite the vigorous protests of my fingers, I am going to post a condo.

All is typical here in Chaos's world. He is happy and purry and chirpy. He loves his mama bean. He has good cycles, he has bad cycles. Two days ago he hit 100 at AM +6, but that's the lowest number I've been able to get. He is so bouncy that it's hard to tell from testing at the tend of the cycle- he could be in the 60's at +6 for all I know, but by the time I get to him he's at 300, you know? ohmygod_smile

My new job has been kicking my butt, so I haven't been able to sacrifice any sleep to get more tests. It's just not possible at the moment. It's so hard on my body after being at a desk or on the couch for 4 years. I need some time to catch up! I'm still bruised and today, bloodied. OSHA is all worried about how we use knives, but what about those devilish plastic dome containers? They'll slice right through you, I guarantee. Chaos has taken to the new situation more easily, all he had to do was wake up at a different time. He's a cat- sleep is a 'round the clock activity. He seems happy enough but it does make me sad to leave him every morning. I was so used to having him near all day long.

So.. I'm thinking the only way to do a good job at this is to get DH to test Chaos before he leaves for work. That would be around +6, which would be an awesome number to catch every day. DH shows no enthusiasm for the project and I don't want to strong-arm him into anything, but what's a girl to do?

Wow, would you look at that? 41. Who knew? Chaos won himself a little bit of MC for that one! This only backs up my idea that he is having good cycles in there and probably seeing greens more often than I know.

Will re-check in half an hour, must sleep soon but can't leave my boy hanging.

Violet, now that you are working, would it be possible to find a vet tech to come in & give Chaos a test once a day if possible?? My DH also can test when he tries(he is not too graceful ;-) if you know what I mean)--
But rarely does--He has been learning to shoot Moonie for 3 yrs, but still hasnt completed his training(in my eyes) nor does he practice at all(played with the syringe a few times & an orange)

Honestly, it is really important for us to get them to learn to do this, as I have no one else if something happens to me, & my vet tech is pregnant!--So, I will continue trying to get mine on track, and
you can tell yours that you will be getting a vet tech to come in test & you will pay her for it!!
It may change his mind!!--GOOD LUCK & Hugs!!

Hi Violet. I was wondering how you were/are, and how it is all going. I am sure in time you body will adjust, things will be easier. Never easy to go into a job that keeps one on their feet when you are not used to it. I wish you well.

WOW on the 41! And you are probably right on the 41 mid cycle. Chaos could be having great cycles and you won't know. It was the same for me... I was gone from the house from 6:30 in the morning, didn't get home until 4:30. Mannie was n his own for the bulk of the morning cycle. The only way I got a handle on what was up was by data collecting in the PM cycle.

I am glad to read that he is doing well - being a happy cat. not bad at all.

Wow Violet, that 41 sure caught my attention! I didn't realize Chaos was that bouncy. And, I didn't realize you had gone back to work. Guess I've missed some condos... :?

Just wanted to say "hi" and good luck with him the rest of the night. The new schedule is probably a lot harder for you than Chaos. Like you said, they sleep!

I'm off to dreamland--early morning vet appt... ~O) ~O)

I was able to stay up another 45 minutes and got a 49 at +5.5. Going up. I fed more MC and passed out, there was no way to avoid it. Not the greatest thing I could do, but exhaustion is a lot more powerful than ambition at times. Plus I knew I had him going up, he's pretty sensitive to carbs.

DH is just going to have to earn Chaos's trust to a greater degree and test him. I can't afford a vet tech and Chaos would never let a tech catch him in the first place. I already tried this; my MIL was a vet tech and she had absolutely no luck catching him for a shot last July when we left for three days. She said he was rather hostile and I believe her. He's a big boy. DH is going to get the hang of testing starting tonight whether he likes it or not.
