Bean's extremely tired this morning due to an overnight storm that blew in. Woke me up at 2:30 this morning, and pretty much knocked the power out for about 3.5 hours. My concern... The insulin. Checked the meat thermometer in the drawer where I keep the insulin, and it still showed 40. I only dozed until 5 a.m. after checking on the boxes, and the insulin and trying to locate our outdoor kitty, Shadow. I couldn't find her, but I guessed she was taking shelter someplace close to the house. Still woke up to a very dark house. Set up 4 hurricane lamps, cleaned a few dishes, recleaned the LBs again, made hubby his lunch, and just before I had to test Blackie, the power came back on. I left the lamps on just incase, however, the power stayed. I was prepared to test, shoot and feed in the dark if I had to. Nothing was going to stand in my way from taking care of my baby, and the others.
The meteorologist said that we had a bow echo come through our area, which produced a few small tornadoes. There wasn't any damage in our area (thank goodness). There's damage just west of us.. About 1/2 hour away.
MY WISH: For God to continue to heal the broken hearts of those in Japan who recently lost loved ones... For God to heal the broken hearts of those on here who recently lost a beloved furbaby and/or human... For God to help those who were in the storm's path throughout the nation find closure and get their lives back in order soon... For God to continue to help Sienne's sister overcome her ailment and make a full and speedy recovery... For everyone to have a great day of #s today... For everyone to be OTJ one day.
