He woke me up just after 6am and seemed to be demanding food but turns out he still had some left so I'm not sure when he last ate - who cares we have green  Maybe he was just demanding his test or knew I was getting up a bit late for work??? Will remove his food tonight 2 hours before testing.

See you guys tonight...

Happy Day 2!!!

(Is it kind of bummer that you have to go to work now, instead of staying home with Vyktor and Meg ;-) !)

Maggie sends hugs and kisses for Vyktor on Day 2 OTJ!

(sorry my emoticons knock me off the computer)! We'll send a cute pic!

Binks has found the cutest pictures once again!!! I actually managed to snap Vyktor and Meg in the same frame today  of course it was just moments before Vyktor gave her a few slaps on the head for good measure  It's on my phone so I can't upload it directly but I will send it to my friend with the smart phone and he can email it back to me so it will be coming soon...

Removing the food before his PMBG certainly had the desired effect, I had to stop myself from heading to the fridge for carbs and congratulating him on a reduction

It was weird at work today staying all day and not running home for a lunchtime test, I actually got to eat! I went out for Chinese with my lunch buddy who has been missing me since before Christmas. The food was disappointing and yes Amy I would much rather have been home with my furry ones. On Vyktor's first no shot night on Sunday when I realised I could go out and do anything I wanted without worrying I thought about it and came to the conclusion that what I wanted most was to stay home with my babies  Meg was quite put out that there was no rabbit run this morning  but still I think I must have almost run out of holiday days so I guess it just has to be done.

On the plus side at work I locked myself out of my computer after morning coffee and there was some problem with the computer assist phone line so I couldn't get back for the rest of the day  I also realised that I am less than a year away from long service leave entitlements :-D

I'm sorry, I didn't have a chance to read all of your condo, this morning. I saw something about long service leave entitlements :-D must be nice.

That's some 47 you're showing there, Vyktor.

Golly, Serryn, You're having to re-schedule your life!  No pokies at lunch time. How terrible! But less than a year to long-service leave entitlements. That's great!

Lookin' great, Vyktor!! Congrats on DAY 2!

Hi Serryn, Only one week to go before we return home to 'gods own country'. Did I manage to send you the video yesterday - I found it while laid up with a cold all day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_yTa2Tu ... creen&NR=1 I thought how many people on FDMB would identify with this problem! We are about to return a breast pump... as you do... just enjoyed reading how V's going on the forum.... This might sound odd but I am looking forward to getting back to the routine of needles and tests and early morning kitty duties. But I'm not at work so it's all a lot easier for me. I just hope my little guy is returned to me well and healthy. Vet keeps telling me he's doing well.

Go Vyktor!!! What great numbers!! Serryn, you're going to have to find a new hobby to fill up all this free time you suddenly have!!   Have a great day!

Lookin' good this evening!!!

I posted this over in Trix's condo, then realized you'd be more likely to see it here!

I will never forget the night I had a blackout for 3 hours with Vyktor in low numbers and needing testing every half hour - I can not imagine trying to do that with five other cats sticking their noses in!!

P.S. I have been feeling sad for you today - I can't imagine not being able to eat cashews...

Yikes...testing that often without power can't be fun. We lost power for 23 hours last October (freak blizzard); now, any time it even flickers, I start shaking. Overall, the herd did pretty well yesterday morning, all things considered. I know others here have lost it for much longer than that, so I consider myself "lucky!"

I've gotten used to the cashew thing, although it does get tricky sometimes. I've got some fabulous vegan ice cream recipes that I can't make, because they all use cashew butter. I'm just suspicious of the allergy; it's not confirmed. I get mouth ulcers, and cashews seem to make them about a million times worse...

Nice!!! Look at you go Vyktor. Hope you have a great night Serryn!

I am with Amy on the cashew thing. You learn to live with an allergy like that. I am deathly allergic to peanuts and all nuts in general and have carried an epipen all my life since even the smell sends me into anaphylactic shock. You definitely get used to it, but have to be very careful.

Whoa Vyktor! I"m thinking atht PMBG of a 47 came with an "IN YOUR FACE!!!!!!!" ha ha from Vyktor!! Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay Vyktor !! DAY TWO!

:RAHCAT :RAHCAT :RAHCAT :RAHCAT :RAHCAT :RAHCAT

Serryn, thank you for visiting our condo last night (our early AM), and what you said. Sometimes I'm not sure how I do anything.

Sorry you have to be at work and miss your babies. I never could leave my 5 babies for long, but even leaving Daphne is too hard for any amount of time. (I have an overnight coming up and I'm stressing a lot).

Holy Cow Serryn. I didn't know a cat could get a 47 with no insulin.
But then I remembered what Mocha does for Devon. :-D
She could do that in a heartbeat.
And Chex? I'd be happy for a 147

Yaaay on Day Two

Now Vyktor is letting us know why he got those beautiful numbers all the time. It's easy for him! I can't believe that pm! Go Vyktor!

It must feel so strange, Serryn, being back in the normal world without having to worry.

Congrats!
