Wendy would be the right person to advise you on R dosing. You might want to add a part of your question to the title. Something like "advice on starting dose of R insulin?"

Start with 0.1 units of R. You can try drawing 0.25 units and cut that in half. Get a used syringe, and experiment first with coloured liquid (tea, pop, juice). Rotate the plunger until you get a drop out. Practice getting consistent size drops. Then load 0.25 units in your syringe and squeeze out drops. Count how many come out in 0.25 units. Draw 0.25 units again, squeeze out half the drops that were in the 0.25 units. Call that 0.1 units.

He had a pretty good curve for him, for today, especially starting out in red.
He's not used to getting poked this much, but seems to be getting a little better at it.
I wanted to get a good comparison for when we try the R tomorrow. Of course every day is different.. right?

Good plan getting that extra data today.
I found some food coloring and used the blue.
To get the 0.25 dose, I put the plunger between the 0.5 mark and the zero mark, and pushed out 4 smallesh drops. I only did this once so far. If it remains the same in other experiments, I will be giving him 2 drops of R tomorrow at his AMPS.
