J.D. seems to be in a good mood today. His fur seemed a little ruff (separated) looking, but it's soft, and he slept with me and purred all night, and when I (we) finally got up from btbing, he instantly banged on the bell on the inside of the front door knob, to be let outside. The kitties went outside for a bit, and just came back in for their 3rd Breffis.
I need to log off for a bit to get a bunch of errands done real quick.

bbl. and, I (we, J.D. and I) get tomorrow off :-D

Besides the errands I ran this morning, I went all over trying to find Vitamin B12. My vet had said I could buy the injectable version in the horse department at Tractor Supply. All they had was this huge bottle that said for Sheep, Cattle, and Swine. He said it would be pink. I didn't see any pink..just this big quart sized bottle. I had Ginger with me, so I bought her some treats and we left...after teaching a few people about how to leash train your cat. On the way home I was passing a pet store, and I quickly made the turn and found out that they were going out of business, and had a sale. There were 3 loose dogs in there, and I just let Ginger go, because she's a good girl. They did not have what I was searching for, but there was a vet in there and I said something about what I found at Tractor Supply and he said there was a back log on Vitamin B12 that's 4 months long, and maybe that's why my vet just didn't give (sell) me some, himself.
After bringing Ginger home, I then went to two health food stores, and finally came home with Methylcobalamin 60 capsules of 1,000 mcg. each. I guess I'll start him on that, tomorrow. It's for humans, so I guess I'll try to give him like 1/4 of a capsule or a sprinkle or something. Anyone know the dose?

This website suggests 3000 mcg daily (for a cat weighing over 10 pounds) for neuropathy. I don't have experience giving oral methylcobalamin for GI or pancreatic issues. I am assuming the dosing would be similar, though I think it would be better to start slowly to make sure he tolerates it. I used injectable cyanocobalamin for Bear and Teddy.
