04.05.22 Hamilton question

Hamilton has been doing really well lately. His behavior and personality are back to his old self. His BG numbers are all over the place - mostly in 350-500 range. Vet increased insulin (Lantus) to 4 units bid. Great - in the past few days his BG has been slowly decreasing. Today, he was 531 (5am) 233 1(pm) 571 at 4:30 pm (he was not happy about the poke and I had to do it twice). I let him relax and we strolled around the yard. Now he is 157 (5pm). I fed him and then thought about his insulin. The "rule" has been if below 200 no insulin. Suggestions? No insulin or cut back to 2 or 3 for tonight? I will do another reading in a few hours.
 
To get help with dosing advice, you will need to set up a spreadsheet and add BG data so we can see it. We can’t safely give dosing advice without data.
