Panzer has had a couple of fur shots in the pm & his cycles have been pretty flat but he is also dropping pretty low @+3 & + 4. Is this him bouncing? Due to fur shots? even though they seem pretty flat on fur shot nights? He's been doing the meow sometimes before peeing as well but not everytime? He still playing with me running & chasing each other & in an all around good mood. Panzer is really taking to the feeder opening with me monitoring, Spook on the other hand is spooked LOL I have to direct him to the food.Him & Spook were sleeping with me as they do most nights. Me & Spook were awakened by what sounds like a meow. Spook was looking around & I turned the flashlight on to check on Panzer whom sleeps beside my pillow by my head. He was sleeping & I woke him to make sure he was ok. Spook moved over next to Panzer for a good 10mins like he was scared then moved back to his normal spot. Could this have been a dream that Panzer was having? Should I also have another urinalysis done along with the UPC ratio test before his appointment on May 10th fir blood work? I'm going to tag a few people, & hope to get some answers. Thank you in advance for any & all help I can get with my baby @FrostD @Suzanne & Darcy @Sienne and Gabby (GA) @Diane Tyler's Mom

And I personally would not have the UPC test performed until Panzer’s UTI is completely cleared. The reason is that protein in the urine has other causes besides kidney disease, and bleeding and inflammation in the urinary tract can cause protein to be found in the urine. So I think a UTI would potentially skew the results and not give you a clear picture of what you really want to know.

So you go back May 10 for repeat bloodwork? When did the vet want to do the UPC test? Is that May 10 also? What day will Panzer finish up the last of his Amoxicillin?
He finishes his amoxicillin on April 11th so no more on the 12th. Bloodwork work is May 10th & he didn't say anything about the UPC test. I'm going to call tomorrow even though Panzer's vet is only there on Tuesday & Wed & the receptionist are not very kind & will probably tell me to call back on Tues when he is there. So I will try & schedule a urinalysis for the 19th or 20th of April. That will be 8-9 days after he's done with the amoxicillin & I will mention the UPC test at his appointment. Hopefully after he's done with the amoxicillin it will be gone, fingers & paws crossed for my baby :bighug:

I have to admit that I am worried that the enterococcus is antibiotic resistance. I should not say that because you will freak out. I have done a lot of reading about enterococcus and drug resistance. They've studied it a lot (regarding humans, animals being carriers of the drug resistant strain - dangers in the hospital setting, etc.) Of course, there are a lot of variants of enterococcus (enterococcus faecium, e. faecalis, and many more) so I hope the strain that he has will respond to the amoxicillin. It bothers me that you said he sometimes still cries when he's going in the litter box. :-( Don't freak out... we don't know yet whether this Amoxicillin is going to kill all those nasty bacteria... if not, it's up to the vets to figure out the next step. Poor Panzer deserves a BREAK!

That's what I'm afraid of. I hope my vet knows what to do if it's not gone. I wish he was there today,so I could talk with him.
