362 PMPS (+11.75) TOR (1 drop)
195 +2.25
119 +3.5
62 +4.5

54 +5.5
59 +6
92 +7.25
380 +11

I was sleeping on the couch with my cell phone on the coffee table because it's so much easier for me to get up on nights like last, rather than indulging in my big beautiful wonderful comfy bed with all the down pillows that cover my ears from nasty things like alarm clocks

.

I woke up at +11 with J.D. laying on my arm against the back of the couch. And he was totally limp. I freaked!!!!!!!
I lifted him to the end of the couch and he was so limp and I layed him down and didn't know what to do, and his eyes opened, and then he kind of moved his mouth a little or gave a tiny sneeze (I don't remember which) and then he yawned. This all happened in like 1.2 seconds, but stopped my heart. I put him on the floor and he walked fine.
I tried to stay up to watch him, but alas fell asleep, and thus his AMPS was late at +12.5. I gave him Zero Line of R.

He is acting just fine. So, I guess he was just fast asleep? UG! Just remembering.. I never want to go to sleep again.
Although I did sleep in this morning. I know he's fine now. Has anyone ever experienced this before?

Sorry that you had to go through that:( I've had a few times where Chyna doesn't wake up or move when I think she should and I panic and rush over to pet or poke her...and she looks at me like what? I was sleeping. I hope someone can give you a helpful explanation:)

HI Dyana,
I'm sooo with you on the couch with the phone nearby. It's sort of like you're half up already. I can only imagine how you felt when J.D. was so limp. I think he was just REALLY sound asleep. I found Ollie once, like that, really limp, and only the eyelid that comes in from the side was closed. I thought his eyes had rolled back and he'd died. I was less than composed,..he stretched and smacked me...i guess for waking him up. I took him to the vet and they  at me. I hope it's the same for J.D.
Continue on with that nice surf J.D. Have a nice day.. are you getting in some napping on the couch?
hugs and scritches to you

I can honestly say that I don't remember ever seeing Blackie do that, and hope that I never go through that with her, or anyone. I think J.D. was simply fast asleep, and was probably dreaming of catching fish. Hoping that he gives you a very nice surf today, and not another heart attack (nasty things those!). Have a wonderful day!

Wow! That sounds scary! Hopefully J.D. was just in a very deep sleep. After all, he was safe and warm on the couch with his Mamabean. Nice numbers today!

Hi Dyana, how scary! Kiz has pulled something like that before. Sometimes he goes into a really deep sleep and won't respond right away. One night, I approached him for a test and his ears didn't twitch or anything. Normally he will respond -- ears will move, eyes will open, tail will flick... something, but this night, he didn't hear coming up to him at all. I touched him gently and still no response, so I said his name pretty loud and jarred him awake  He sat up (more like jumped up) and his eyes sprung open like "what?! WHAT?!"

J.D. is having a gorgeous cycle --- nice green surf. Hope you have a lovely evening.

I haven't but my kitties have been pretty soundly asleep before. It sounds like he's fine, though. I think the older they get, the more soundly they snooze maybe? Hopefully.

Wishing you, JD, and Ginger:

I decided to shoot at +11.25 because of his high numbers and to get back on schedule from my over sleeping this morning.

He has seemed pretty normal for him, today. It's raining outside, otherwise I'd probably take him for another walk right now. He had two medium sized walks and 1 small one. None from his own desire. I had to carry him to where I wanted him to walk from, but that happens often. I am always happy when he goes out for a walk of his own accord, but he doesn't do that too much.

I guess his being out of it this morning is just the way he is. I remember from way back when, when he was first diagnosed I would wake up every 20 minutes to check on him and sometimes he was sound asleep. And he does tend to totally relax when being carried. This morning there was just no resistance, so I guess he was just sleeping.

I think,, I'm going to hold off on the R tonight and let him get through his bounce, since I have probably been contributing to these bounces by giving him the R in the first place.

I hope J.D. clears the bounce for you soon. I'm sorry you got so scared by J.D. That would scare me too, but it does sound like he was just in a deep sleep. Thanks for your advice in Furball's condo this morning.
