Good Morning!!

J.D. went from a 426 PMPS last night to an AMPS of 184 this morning. I heard him throwing up last night (nothing produced but a teeny bit of bile) at +9.75, so I fed him, but I didn't test him.
Since I didn't get a +11 and I don't know how fast he may be dropping at the moment, and because he started at this number yesterday and had bounced so high by the time I got home from work yesterday, I took a drop off his dose this morning, and called it s2.75, because it's more than a f2.50. And then, this morning, he really didn't want to eat his breakfast (odd or him), so I encouraged him with some FortiFlora.

Is it only Wednesday? This week has been long, already.

Dyana - I agree - ugh, only Wednesday. Come on Friday!

He's still not eating his second breakfast. I'll have to try another flavor, maybe. I guess I should have fed him at +9.25?

I'm at tbp. I opened a can of Mellick which I had bought to try, and Ginger liked it, but J.D. was not interested.
I left the house with the cats eating some tuna and I had poured tuna water on top of the can of frozen FF. The automatic feeder food has freeze dried chicken liver dust sprinkled on top.
Yesterday, Ginger threw up (she throws up fairly often) and was hiding under the covers (odd for her), but feels fine today. This morning, J.D. threw up (maybe a hairball coming?) and is not acting himself..not eating much, and he kept going back to bed instead of lying in the middle of the living room like he usually does.
Would it be alright to give J.D. some Mirtz tonight?

Why not wait and see how he's doing? I doubt that it could hurt but just remember that the effects of mirtz last 3 days.

(( Dyana )) I never thought I'd see a question about an appetite stimulant in JD's condo. I sure hope he's feeling better as the day goes on. Maybe he ate something that didn't agree with him. Did he seem nauseous - did he seem interested in eating, but then walk away after he smelled it? I sure hope he eats while you're gone today. Could he have eaten something outside that made he throw up later?

Actually, yesterday was unusual. I came home to all left out food eaten and all bowls licked clean. Usually there is at least some food if not half uneaten when I return home. He did not want to go outside when we went for our walk, but he ate his dinner last night, and I also fed him and he ate at 3:00am (+9.25).
He did not act hungry this morning and walk away, he just wasn't interested in eating. But, he ate treats and human tuna just fine.
So, maybe he's just full. I hope so!

Have you tried some Pepcid AC? If he is feeling nausea, that may be why he is not eating. You can try giving 1/4 of 10mg tab BID - jojo suggests giving it about 1/2 hour before feeding. Try that & if that doesn't work, you can try the mirtz tomorrow maybe?

J.D. is feeling better. And only half (or less than half) of the left out food was eaten today, which is normal.
We went for a short walk, and J.D. ate a bunch of the leftover food. Such a relief.
Now if I only could get him to have his lower numbers at night instead of the morning, or at night AND the morning :mrgreen:
 
J.D. ate a good amount of the leftover food from this afternoon at PMPS, and almost finished 1/4 can of fresh FF at +3.
