03/19 - Alex is back - is there a condo available?

unfortunately, alex has been very sick and inappetent. she's had numerous tests and an ultrasound done. to make a long story short, she appears to have chronic kidney and liver disease, as well as a possibility of FIP. a FIP titer will be run today. she'll be starting abs, pain meds, fluids, and a very small amount of insulin tonight. she's not doing very well. if we don't see an improvement in QOL in the next week, we'll have to re-evalute. other possiblities include steroids and biopsies.

usually i ask for positive thoughts for others, but we could really use them...

You could borrow everyone's condo (as if you had to ask) but the 2 of you deserve to
have one all to yourselves.

There's always a condo available for short or long term use. Some beans you always want as neighbors - even if you'd prefer they didn't have a reason to take up occupancy.

I am so sorry to hear that Alex is not feeling well. I am hoping and praying that you and her doctor find the exact problem and treat it successfully. Alex will definitely be in my prayers and well wishes.

There's always a condo available for Alex, though I wish she didn't need it. Blizzards of snowflakes are headed your way, and LL snowflakes are pretty powerful.

Oh, Jill, I am so sorry to hear that Alex isn't feeling well. I know how sad you are and your heart is certainly hurting for her.

oh, jill, so sorry to hear this. i have every confidence that you will be able to pull her through.
enthusiastically endorsing denamarin and injectable vitamin B and vitamin B complex, as well as more eating, as a way to combat liver problems. they made a world of difference for cleo, and normally i'm very skeptical of supplements. fluids worked wonders for her too.
hoping this was just one test and prognosis is very good for your little alex.

there is always condo room out there for you. You've been there for so many of us, I believe that all of us are there for you.

i'm sure it's helping. alex ate more tonight than she's eaten all day. :-D
she has a long way to go, but she's off to a good start.

Oh, Jill...I'm so sorry to see this. I checked your ss earlier today after seeing your posts in Deb and Spot's condo...my heart sank when I saw Alex's numbers and your notes.

I hope you find some meds that will make her feel better, and get her appy back. We are always happy to see you, but wish it weren't under these circumstances.
