Problem with his ears, testing not easy! I'm happy he's far from GREEN!
The left ear (frozen and hard) "forgot" how to bleed:(; it was OK at the beginning but now hardly any blood! The right one (half frozen) seems to be hurting; I don't see anything and it's not red; I always use Polysporin each time I test!

The rice sock exploded in microwave 2 days ago. Probably still half awake, set the wrong time.. I'll make him another one but he doesn't like it too much. What do you use to warm up the ears apart from rice sock?

I always used warm water in either a prescription pill bottle, or an old film canister. Neko used to come running if she heard me running the tap for the hot water. Are you using the Polysporin Complete, the black and yellow package? I guess you could try toe testing.

Paws crossed for a good dental surgery tomorrow. Did the vet give any instructions about food and dose?

As I didn't have rice sock, I used an empty strips container filled with hot water this morning. I use Polysporin Original 2 antiotics (green and yellow); I'll try the Polysporin Complete.
I wish he would come for testing like your little Neko, but it's not very motivating as there is no treats he likes; I think I tried them all! He likes junk food: Whiskas kibbles and Temptations which are not on his menu!
I tried once the paw testing and it was not a real success: he was kicking then running making little blood spots everywhere, except on the strips. I definetely didn't have the right technique, which I'll have to learn properly if I have to go that way.

As for the DENTAL, vet's instructions are to give his usual full dose and breakfast; he's scheduled late morning or beginning of afternoon! In a previous post, you suggested giving half dose which I am going to do unless you think otherwise because of his actual numbers? He's getting higher lately but I noticed last time he was on AB in February, it was the same; maybe a coincidence, maybe not!!

Thanks for paws crossed, hope everything will go fine!

Sending dental vines for Ti-Mousse. I hope all will go smoothly. My vet always said no food after midnight before a dental, but since Ti-Mousse's dental is not until late morning, you could probably give him something to eat around 3 or 4 a.m. The issue is that anesthesia could cause problems if food is in the stomach.

Ear warming: I always used a damp baby washcloth, put it into a plastic baggie and microwaved it for about 15 seconds. But all microwaves are different, so be sure to test it first to make sure it isn't too hot. The advantage of a thin baby washcloth is that you can wrap it around the ear easily and it isn't rough, like the rice sock.

Back from the vet; he'll be done early afternoon. Thanks for the "ear warming" tip; and the fact that you can wrap the washcloth around the ear will definitely be better for his ear than the rice sock. I'm sure it's gona work! :)

p.s. on ear warming with the baby washcloth. Leave it in the baggie. That way it is smooth and soothing. Take it out of the baggie between tests.

More dental vines on the way!
