Eating enthusiastically. Waiting by his feeder for it to turn and then gobbling it up! YAY. Transitioned off the a/d and back to "normal" food - yesterday was the full day back on the regular food. He is interactive, looks me in the eye and has a bit of his spunk back. No issues with these numbers as long as he is eating.

Hubby put the first brisket on the pit this morning after he t/f/s. Looking forward to some good bbq after a long winter.

Oh, I was going to ask - getting his blood pressure under better control - could that impact his BG #'s? I still can't believe he is getting these numbers on only 0.25U. Especially with everything he has been going through recently.

As I understand it, any stress can raise BG, and a lessening of any stress can lower BG. Since high BP stresses the heart and the whole vascular system, I figure that lowering it would help lower BG.
At any rate, Gizmo sounds in terrific shape! I'm so happy for y'all.:):cat::cool::D
 
Hi Lizzie!!! What a great report for Gizmo. I hope he'll continue to eat enthusiastically for you.

Yeah for brisket on the grill! I had some of the best BQ brisket in TX that I ever had!!!!
