03/12 J.D. +12 148, AMPS 133 (at +12.25), almost +1 290!

Yesterday's Condo

Last Night: (I figured I'd try a fresh pen/cartridge)

I didn't know my old pen was bad, there was still one third left in it. I waste a lot of insulin, so I'm sure it was less than 2 months old.

So, I'm still sleep deprived from DST etc. But, I turned off my cell phone (alarm) because it was being bad (don't ask, it's old) and still for some reason woke up right at +6 and at +8 to test YAY!. And, I woke up right at +12 another YAY! Although, I would normally get up at +11 and test then.. I'm glad I woke up when needed.

I offered J.D. some food at +12 148 to make sure he ate before I gave the shot and he didn't, so I waited 15 minutes and tested him again at +12.25 133 and gave him a BCS of 0.50 1.65mm (just a shave off his normal dose). I hope he surfs nicely today and eats all day when he needs to.

I hope J.D. surfs safely for you today. It looks like he needed that new juice.
 
At about 50 minutes at AMPS I tested and he was 273. I decided to test again, just in case it was a bad test since there wasn't much blood. I tested the other ear and got a 290!
 
Hmmmm, maybe food spike plus making up for the potency of the new pen?
I hope JD comes back down for you today ~ his numbers aren't too shabby, though!

Hi Dyana. So nice to see J.D. with some low numbers. It appears that he is reacting favorably to the new pen.

Thanks to DST last months +11 is today's +12 so you're internal clock is still keeping good time :lol: .
