Good morning!
AMPS 122 shooting 2.0u

Boomer ate most of his overnight food, leaving about 1/3 of one serving.
His weight today is 17lbs. He's supposed to be dieting:rolleyes: Hard to diet a kitty when you have to try to control the drop in BG, or raise the BG, using food:rolleyes: I suppose, when I'm giving him a +2 snack to control a drop, I should be scooping it out of his +3, +6 or +9 servings so that he gets the same amount of food over a 12 hour period.

Today on the Beans' agenda....DH's second to last appt is around noon (+5) and I'm hoping to go with him of course. Yesterday we got our new bathroom and newly-decorated bedroom thoroughly cleaned (the dust was horrific) and today we'll carry on with another part of the house. I also need to get my photographic props/equipment back in place....I store them in the basement and I had to move them from under any water pipes the guys were working on, in case of leakage.

On Saturday I made it back out to the conservation area on the other side of the city, hoping to see the Evening Grosbeak. I didn't. But on the way home I decided to take a road on the outskirts of the city and I spotted an American Kestrel. They usually land on wires and I hate shots of birds on wires:rolleyes:. This one was on a wire when first spotted but then flew to a nearby tree. I wish I could have gotten closer.

Nice start for Boomer. I hope he surfs safely for you today so you can go to DH's appointment. Sending prayers for DH. It is very hard to put a diabetic cat on a diet. Great picture.

Good luck Boomer! A chubby kitty is a comfy kitty, as long as he's healthy :) Mine went from 22lbs to 16lbs from the diabetes and I miss burying my face into his chunk!

Lou was at 19 lbs before the diabetes kicked in. I miss him being extra fluffy (he was never really fat since he's such a big boy), but he's been holding steady at 15 lbs (much better than the almost skeletal frame he had at diagnosis when he was 13 lbs). My vet wants him to still lose some weight, but I think he's healthy and steady and I don't really see a big reason to change.... And you're right, as a diabetic, it's so hard to put them on a diet anyway! Boomer is looking awesome today! I hope he'll let you go to DH's appointment!

Beautiful picture Judy! I love how he's hanging right at the edge of that teeny tiny branch!

It is hard when having boost especially when it's after they had all their food already. Or have a husband who feeds her just because she looks at him.

How does the bird stay in such a tiny twig!!!!!!

Great shot of the Kestral. Good to hear that your photogaphic equipment was safe during the renovation.
Wishing your DH a good two final days of treatment. Soon he can ring the bell!

Back to the lagoon Deputy Boomer!
