I'm beginning to think that the new cartridge I started yesterday is cr@ppola.
One thing that was neat, is that J.D. actually meowed at the door to come inside, for the first time, today. And he meowed nice and loud too. I told him what a good boy he was and he instantly got a piece of steak that I had handy.
He has never said anything in his 17 years when he wants to come inside, just sits there patiently in the freezing cold (today, anyway) for me to eventually see him waiting there and let him in.
Which only reminds me of the two times (when he was about 7) when he left for 4 days, and I had to leave the front door open for 4 days, because he didn't/doesn't know how to meow to ask to come in. Each time he left for 4 days, he brought me back a present...in the middle of the night...the first time he woke me up at 4:00am to his playing with a toy on the bed which turned into a dead mole when I turned on the light, and the other time he woke me up at 3:00am chasing a live squirrel around the house :shock: . The worst part was that he could never tell me about his adventures and what he experienced (was he cold?, was he lost?, did he miss me?, was he hungry?) when he was gone, and I could never tell him how much I worried about him for those five thousand seven hundred and sixty minutes that he was out there somewhere.
My cats basically don't roam (right, Ginger?) like they used to when I lived more in farm country.
