It is a really stressful day. Whiskers Trilostane did not arrived today, even thought the pharmacy promised we would have it yesterday or today. We gave her last dose this morning. Now the pharmacy is backpeddling, say they ship your first order overnight when it is ready, not overnight from the day you order.. I was very specific with them, told them I needed it on thursday, got names, everything. Now I have talked to a supervisor and a manager is going to call us, not that any of that will help. Now they assure me it will go out today, in time for overnight shipping, as long as UPS does their part :twisted: ohmygod_smile :evil: .
I have called my regular vet, the U of M IM vet, and a local compounding veterinary hospital. The regular vet has to order it, the compounding pharmacy could compound a 60mg to 10mg if I could get it. The IM vet is supposed to be returning my call. Out of desperation while waiting I called the U of M veterinary pharmacy refill line, and they will sell me 4 10mg caps, to get me through till saturday moning :mrgreen: (bless them), gotta run over there and pick up.
In the meantime Miss Wittys BG is kinda low this AMPS 172. I need to pick up med get home check her BG, and get to work in 2 hours. AAAAHHHHHH!!!!! I did everything I could to make sure we would not run out of this medication. I took her in for the test 1 1/2 weeks ago, lab results not back friday, IM vet having his own medical procedure done Friday afternoon, Monday snow storm, not able to to talk to IM vet till late on Monday, calls Prescription in on Tuesday morning, Pharmacy promises we'll have it by Wed. or Thursday at the latest. AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!
