Yay for yellow, looks like Vyktor is clearing his bounce :-D

WCR is good, in particular his fur has gotten so soft since his green streak. I'd forgotten how soft he could be. He's still taking tests and shots with good humour, I don't even have to treat everytime and sometimes when it is offered he knocks it back anyway. I test him wherever he happens to be at the time and if he's in a hard to get place he will obligingly turn himself around. He often selects which ear will be tested by offering up whichever he has decided on and I think he even has a sense of humour about it. At one stage during his green streak he batted the lancing device under himself to hide it :lol: Occasionally he gives me a little nip before his shot to get payback in advance but then he'll lie down like a little lamb and take it. He hasn't been complaining about his dreadlocked hips too much in the last couple of days but it will be great to get rid of them at his dental on Friday. It will be good new/bad news for him when he wakes up - sore mouth but free movement. I'm hoping he's that thrilled about the dreadlocks being gone he won't notice the teeth missing so much but perhaps that is a little too much wishful thinking :lol:

Good to see Vyktor back in sunny yellow, hopefully he'll be back in those blues today. Isn't it nice when they get their soft fur back? My mom thought I had taken Atticus to the groomer; that's how much better he looked.

I've been MIA for a couple days, so had to scroll back to figure out the "dreadlocks" :-D

Binks has that short dense Manx undercoat...and we spend time every three days ridding him of his "Butt Tufties" :lol:

Looks like Vyktor's coming out of his "rest period" ;-)

Can't wait to try your recipe, Serryn...
I'm a nut for avocados (as is Binks...but he will NOT be allowed to partake) :-D

I may have missed a pic of the dreadlocks? Ooohhh...that would be cool before they are gone.

May have called bounce over a little early, he's heading the wrong way. He does like to be unpredicatable :-| The only time I can see on his ss where he's gone from pink through yellow, touched on blue and then started going up again was with the insulin that lost its oomph. Don't think it can be that again though as I've been handling it correctly and it's less than a month old.

No pictures of his dreadies Marje, you can't see them just feel them, his top fur is still all fluffy it's just at the roots. Which is why I didn't notice it coming and snip it while it was snippable. Now it's way too matted for him to let me near him with the scissors. It's the first time this has ever happened and hopefully it will never happen again if I stay on top of it and snip any bits that start dreading up as soon as they happen.

Unfortunately Vyktor is not one that will tolerate being brushed or combed, he likes to take care of his grooming himself :YMSIGH:

Now it's back to the future for me...

Hi Serryn,
Just visiting your condo before I go to bed. I see you have the matting problem too, especially in the back area, just like Daphne. I found a groomer that has a van that travels around the area, and had her do Daphne twice. She shaved her the first time, it was so bad. Now we make sure we keep up with it and not let it get out of hand like before. Daphne also does not like to even be touched back there. She parks in the driveway and does her thing, I don't even want to think about how Daphne feels about it, but the end result is great. Also, with the low numbers, Daphne's hair is so soft too.

Nice report on Vyktor. I hope he breaks the bounce, and I, too, was wondering what are dreadlocks? That's so cute how he turns his ear when you're ready to prick. Mags does the same, except I've been using the same ear. I can't seem to get the other to bleed! That's good you're using both. Have a good night and hope you can sleep, Serryn.

Great to hear that Vyktor is fluffy again. That is one of the things I notice most about Tarragon. He was so oily when he was diagnosed. Now he is a huge fluff ball again. :-D It is amazing how well they do with their test and shoot. DH swears that Tarragon knows it has made him feel better and puts up with it because of it.

The do love to confound us, better not to speculate aloud. They will always do the exact opposite! :lol: :lol:

I know on the fur, Tess's belly fur had always bee thin, you could see the pink skin right through it. Now it is full and white, although still off limits for brushing. He back and neck are another matter altogether though!
 
Hi guys .. I hope that vyktor gives you the night off and you both get some well deserved rest .. Mocha's hair is so silky soft anymore .. we love running our fingers through it .. of course, she doesn't care for that very much! :lol:
 
Reverse course Mr Vyktor - head for the blues! Sometimes Zener will look like he is breaking a bounce, then seems to go right back in it. I remember reading in a thread on bounces here about kitties having an occasional blue or green even during a bounce. Just when you think it's over, back up they go.
