Still has not eaten. :/ we gave him a half dose of insulin last night, though and his sugar is stabalizing. Nothing really new to report. Trying to sit on my hands and let him rest.

Syringe fed a few tablespoons. He is showing interest, but not eating on his own still. I wish I could stick it in an IV. Lol

Sending appy vines. It's so hard when they don't want to eat. It's better that he only get a little, if that's all he wants - giving him more might make him vomit and undo all the good you've done. Hang in there! :YMHUG:

A few tablespoons is good and if he keeps it down. That is a good sign that he is showing interest.

Re: 02/21 Frank +20 199 - Ate a little on his own

I gave him about a half a teaspoon of food via syringe, with the plate sitting in front of me. I guess he figure if I was gonna force - feed him, he may as well eat. It was only a few more tablespoons, but he did it himself. He finally came out of his hidey hole and is perking up. He got insulin at 9:30 last night so I am gonna reassess at 9:00 to see where he is. We will probably stick to a half - dose then since he still hasn't really eaten a lot.

Re: 02/21 Frank +20 199 - Ate a little on his own

I'm so glad he ate some food on his own :thumbup . Keep using that trick if it works. He needs to eat his normal amount or more.
If he continues to not eat his normal amount, you may need to keep syringing food until he does.

fingers crossed for the little guy to feel better in the morning! glad you were able to get some food in him.

there is a product called maxCal that is calorie dense. I think Dyana has used it. If you can't get him eating, you might ask her about it or see if you can get some from the vet.

I am glad to hear that Frank ate a little on his own and is perking up. Sending prayers for Frank. It must be very difficult.
