heck what a night. I came home from work at +4 and had realistically an hour an half to get bathed, changed,do my hair, makeup, sort bails, get a taxi and be on the train to watch a show that id paid for as a pick me up present for my friend whos going through the mill. my Bails had other ideas and threw a 66. I gave yoghurt food and even syrup but he went up to 82 but then dropped to 73. I was so worried.

I didn't want to let my friend down but was so worried about my babe. I draughted my mum in. she hasn't a clue about testing but I told her after an hour after me leaving to give him more yoghurt. id rather him be higher for a night than to low for a minute!!! I got home and hes at 464. hes as happy as larry but .....

am I right not reducing again???? im gonna stick to 4u I think as I know there over sensitive to insulin after a big drop like the other night but am I doing the right thing or do I need to go lower???

edited to say, im now injecting well below his scruff due to the fatty lump so am now wondering whether this has stopped the insulin getting in fully before (does that make sense)

Is your spreadsheet up to date Anna? Last day I see is Feb 12th

Next time you could just skip the shot so you'd be able to enjoy your night out, or if your schedule permits it, you could give the PM shot at +18 and then shoot again 18 hours later ...then get back on your regular schedule...that would keep some insulin working without the worry of shooting a low number if you can't be there to test

OK...I see the World side is up to date but for some reason the US side isn't updated after Feb 12th

The 66 would usually dictate a decrease, but since it's so soon after the last reduction, the 4.25 depot could still be influencing it. I think I'd wait and see what the next cycle or two does and take it from there, but hopefully some of the others will be along to add their opinions soon

I can see the World version of the SS to today, maybe some of the formulas have gone missing on the US one. This is only the third cycle since the last reduction. I think you are fine to hold the dose. That is, as long as you will be able to keep an eye on him. It'd be great to find a dose where he can spend a bit more time in green. The more time he sees green, the less he'll bounce.

I see that tomorrow is officially Bailey's one year anniversary to starting insulin. :( That makes him a longer term diabetic. For longer term diabetics, we use reduction criteria of 3 times under 68 (on the AlphaTrak) or once under 54 (3.0) on the AlphaTrak.

I hope you managed to enjoy the show. Do you have an automatic feeder? I find they are essential to having a life outside of feline diabetes.

yeah but he doesn't tend to eat when no ones in hence my mummy coming so I could at least go out otherwise I wouldn't have gone! I don't understand whats happened to my ss on the other version of ss. its completely updated my end.how odd!

ahh bless my boy being a long term insulin addict!! hes doing good though. :-D no dose reduction then il keep going. im at home tomorrow so can keep an eye on him!

To fix the US version of the ss, in the US page highlight the last row that copied over properly, copy it, highlight a pile of lines where the data isn't copying and do a paste special - formula only
