We started a new Lantus pen last night. Whiskers seems to be doing well today. She goes to back to the U of M tomorrow for more testing.

Our Dog Bandit does leak protien from his kidneys, but does not actually have CRF. He has Glomerulonephritis, which can lead to CRF. I talked to the vet yesterday and Glomerulonephritis can cause blood clots to be thrown off (the kidney's?), this could cause the severe tremors/trembling he experiance Sunday. If the clots go to the lungs or brain he would die. We have an appointment to see the vet for Bandit on Thursday, in the meantime it will be treated as in humans with low dose asprin. 1/4 tablet of 80 milligram asprin daily. He got his first does last night.

We were in court today to close my sister's estate. Apparently the "attorney" (and I use the term lightly), neglected to include some parts of the final accounting. So additional documents will need to be drawn up by the attorney for which he will charge his (large fee again), to be signed and sent to the judge. At this point if the documents are acceptable to the judge, no further court date will be needed.

I'm going to lay down and rest before work.

Keeping Blackie, Rocket, Peeps and all other cats in need in our thoughts.

Sending prayers for a positive outcome of Whiskers tests tomorrow. I'm so sorry you had to go through the court process. I hope it gets all worked out very soon. ((((Cheryl)))) Get some rest and take care of yourself.

Hi Cheryl, Good news that Whiskers is doing well today. We'll be sending positive thoughts for your appointment tomorrow.
I hope Bandit will be OK, too. Aspirin really is the wonder drug. Can you imagine what they would charge for it if it was discovered today?!
The attorney's "mistake" borders on malpractice. Some nerve to charge you a second fee for what he should have done in the first place. You might consider prorating his fee. Does he work for a firm? You might complain to the partners.

Anyway, I do hope that you are able to get some sleep today or this evening. You have so much on your plate. We are thinking of you and sending many hugs,

(((Cheryl))) I'm sure that Sienne has directed you to Amy and Pedro already. Amy opened up a condo for Pedro today. He has Cushings and has done well on Trilostane. I am sure that she will be a great resource for you.

Sending good thoughts for your vet visit tomorrow. Lawyers are sure shifty...I wouldn't think you should pay for something that he should have done to begin with.

So sorry on the court issues - I am with Ella - you shouldn't have to pay more for what should have been done. I wish you luck with that too.

Hi Christie, good luck tomorrow with the appt, for Whiskers. I'm glad she is having a good day. Prayers and good thoughts for both Willie and Bandit for his upcoming appointment on Thursday. Thanks for stopping by my condo; I did get the strips in the mail.

I'm sad to report the day did not get better. My dad told me he lost his Schnauzer on Jan 20th. He has been to the shelters, vet, called police, and posted online. He has had the dog since it was a puppy, Ralphie is 11 years old. My Dad is really sad.....
I'm sorry to report I feel despondent....
Keeping Rocket, Blackie, Willie, Buthead and Peeps in our thoughts.

Cheryl I am really sorry about Ralphie. I feel for your dad. Sometimes that's the worst - not knowing. I hope that maybe Ralphie will show up. I too pray for some comfort for you.
 
Cheryl, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's dog being lost. You've got a lot going on right now. Hopefully the prayers from everyone here will comfort you and give you strength as you take care of Whiskers.

Sorry your world is upside down right now. So much to deal with.

I just wanted to stop in to your condo and let you know that whenever you want, I'm happy to share my guy Pedro's experience with Trilostane/Cushing's. We have also had quite a time with pancreatitis as well.
